advice from vets
My guess is that Moms like to please their children and make us comfortable, they are still trying to please through food. I try to explain that food does not consume my thoughts any longer so not to worry about me, I will eat when I am hungry and will make the best choice available....LOL
I get what you are saying about the pep being mostly in your head. But what I'm experiencing is not in my head. I will cook dinner, sit down with my family and lay my head on the table because I am so tired. I have total brain fog and it's like I can't even hear them talking to me. I get some food in me and the fog lifts, my head is up off the table and I'm able to talk again.

While eating carbs - I try to keep them rather low most days - 50-80 on maintnace when I no longer want to lose anymore. I was keeping them at 30-50 during losing phase. Making sure I spread them evenly in my meals.
You may need to eat more often. And add salt to your diet. Dehydration causes extreme fatigue. When I get really tired now - I take some salt followed by a glass of water. 5 of 10 times that really works.

64 ounces is the minimum required amount of fluid. I have to drink upwards of 120 ounces to feel good. Everyone is different. It would not hurt to try to increase your fluids and see how you feel.
To me it sounds like you are trying to talk yourself into adding carbs back into your diet. You've gotten solid advice here from people who know what they are talking about. You seem to have already made up your mind. Ultimately it's your choice.
I hope I didn't misrepresent myself. I am more than happy to eat very low carb. Since RNY I have very little appetite and can easily eat protein alone. I just feel better when I have some carbs - 30-40 grams. I'm just trying to feel good and I'll do whatever that takes.

64 oz of water sounds low to me compared with the amount of protein you're eating. Maybe if you're eating 80g of protein, drink 80 oz of water or more as the minimum & see if that helps.
