How long were you in surgery?

Yes I'm sure recovery is more difficult. I think they are expecting alot of scar tissue which needs to be removed to be able to see what they are doing. Either way I'm ready to get to the other side of this.

Mine was a little over 5 hours with a hernia repair

High weight 335,Surgery weight 293.5,

M1- 24.5 lb,. M2 14, M3-9.5, M4- 7.5, M5- 6.5

...thinking answers will vary depending if someone includes prep and recovery times in their answer. My lap RNY with hernia repair was a couple of hours from prep to the hospital bed I stayed in for three days walking and/or sipping like a soldier. The bariatric surgeon and his team have over 20 WLS-years experience so they were probably like soldiers, too.

I will be 8 weeks post op on Monday and I was told my surgery would be 1.5 to 2 hours long it ended up being 6 hours long due to Adhesions and Scar tissue which made the healing process longer than usual.

I had my surgery in Winchester, MA

Dr Ameri? He was my surgeon almost 13 years ago. Mine was supposed to be 1.5 hours, but turned into 5 because they found a mass in my small intestine and removed that along with bowel resection and temporary G-tube for drainage.
