Fitbit
My birthday is coming up soon and i was thinking of buying a fitbit. I was wondering if it's a good investment because when i did some research, some people where saying that it's not accurate and for the amount of money spent it could be better. I use my phone when walking but when i go to the gym for Zumba and such, i can't track my activities. Any suggestions is greatly accepted. Thanks
I have the surge. ONe of their top of the line models. I love it and hate it. I hate it because the band started peeling and became structurally unsound within a year (about the time the waranty expires). For 250 bucks, the watch should last. The antenna for the gps in the surge is IN the wrist strap, so you just cant replace it.
I love the fit bit cuz it tracks all sorts of exercises, you can program 5 right up into the watch, and steps and monitors your heart rate via wrist.
This fitbit was gifted to me. If I were to spend my own money, I would go with the garmin vivoactive or vivofit (one of them is the one wiht the heart rate monitor on the wrist) or the garmin 235 (check for heart rate monitor on wrist..some use straps).
I would pick garmin cuz the wrist strap is replaceable. The GPS isnt in the wrist strap.
Just my two cents...

Three pounds below Goal!!! Yay !
I don't like the models you wear on your wrist, so I have the Fitbit One. It's the best 99 bucks I have ever spent. I panic if I forget to wear it.

I am currently wearing Garmin Vivofit 2 and feel lost without it. It has a battery that lasts more than a year and it is water resistant so it stays on 24/7. I wear it in the pool and shower with it on.
It is my watch as well as my tracker. It was about $60 when I purchased it.
Don't try to make this journey without a fitness tracker.

I have the Fitbit Alta and I love it. I like Fitbit because I have about 20 friends who all have them and we compete against each other weekly through step challenges. It helps keep me motivated.
If I didn't have so many friends with Fitbits I'd probably look at the Apple Watch or Garmin - but the competition is my favorite part.
