QOTD: as a lifetime New Yorker I also have never been to the great New York State fair. My ex-sister-in-law and family used to go every year. I rarely go to fairs. I can definitely get on the fried dough bandwagon as well as yeah winning a big stuffed animal would be fun although again it never happens.

So it was an interesting weekend. Saw the dock. Got the thumbs up that things were going better. And to start living life a little. Then spent the weekend at the OAC convention. Which was in a really nice place. Loved it right on the Potomac River/national harbor.  Had so much fun walking around. Shopping. Ate at two amazing restaurants. And of course the convention.  I liked the convention. I think there was only one speaker that I didn't care for. It was more science-based. And obesity based. Not just weight-loss surgery.  Obviously many people there had weight-loss surgery and certainly it was addressed too.  But it was good. I would go to it again when it's on the East Coast.

So my new medical drama was with all the activity my legs and ankles swelled. Like scary swelling. started Saturday night.  When I had seen the doctor he did tell me I needed to still wear the compression. Because of all my setbacks. Normally I would be weaning off them at this point. Yesterday 7 1/2 hour ride didn't help. I took a diuretic when I got home elevating my feet and after a good nights sleep they look normal again this morning. So that is good and just need to keep watching them and again it's about finding the balance.  But still taking care of my recovery because I'm still really tired. it was exciting to be able to sit some this weekend for the first time in five weeks basically.  But that I think was part of the problem I couldn't sit that long so I kept walking the vendor hall and yeah swelling.

Haven't weighed myself yet this morning. A little scared to after weekend away. The fat girl mentality never goes away. Oh but cool thing is in the vendor hall the vendors were doing raffles and I won some fancy scale that does body fat testing and stuff they're going to mail it to me. I will let you know how it goes.

  1. coffee with fair life milk. And MiraLAX.
  2.  Two eggs, cheese, bacon
  3.  Half cup cottage cheese
  4.  Cheeseburger
  5.  Snack - TBD
  6.  Chicken - TBD

Still on protein till I vomit mandate from doc. Have to see what I have in my freezer so that is why some of my food is TBD.

I bet you were glad to get home and put your legs up. Lucky you on winning the scale. Healing thoughts.

Hey guys and gals.  Quick drive-by before walking to the library with my kid.  I'm tempted to drive, because seriously, I checked the weather app on my phone and it says 98% humidity.  Seriously?

So, I had an iffy end to my week last week and yesterday I may have eaten a coney dog (with the bun) and some chili cheese fries.  I ate a good dinner yesterday (also my breakfast this morning), and my scale showed 163.8, which is the lowest I've been in a month.

1 year since surgery

B: Ground turkey with zucchini, onions, fresh tomatoes and garlic and a slice of mozzarella cheese melted on it.  Delicious!

L: Tuna salad on half a flat out with tomatoes and pickles. (tomatoes from my garden)

D: I'm cooking a spiral sliced ham today that has been in the freezer, so we'll be eating ham for a few days.

S: Light and Fit Crunch Key Lime yogurt

Totals:

calories 912 protein 77 carbs 33 fat 27

I don't know where all the calories are coming from with those stats.  But I'll likely add another snack in there in the evening.

Here's something to make you smile.  My youngest is obsessed with robots and walks around talking in a robot voice "I am a robot" it's hilarious.  So yesterday we started on his life-long dream of becoming a robot.  I think I just figured out what he's going to be for halloween. Pintrest, here I come!

I LOVE ham.  Sometimes I'll bake one just so I can make ham salad.  Also?  Kal is the cutest thing ever.

hey yall

finally the scale decided to move yesterday! only 11.5 pounds to goal! yiippee.

Yesterday I made breakfast (egg whites and turkey brat sausage together), worked with DH on camper- got this vintage looking igloo refrigerator to put in there. It is a mini one and aqua blue! camper is almost ready- I'm hoping when i have my surgery we can just go away for like 4 days and I can recover.

I'm still in apple /pear land from the neighbor. So i made apple butter, pumpkin apple butter and apple pear applesauce. i made it with cinnamon, spices and brown sugar splenda etc. Made enough for neighbors and will put the rest in freezer. I still have a million apples left- I suppose I need a mandolin so i can do dried apple slices? I'm running out of apple **** to make. then after all that, made Indian food. chicken briyani for DH, i ate the chicken and also made a butter chicken also. Made DH garlic naan also. Yes, I wanted to cram the rice and bread in my belly but i did have one tiny bite of both and walked away. Small success.

QOTD: other than fair food which i can no longer eat unless it is meat- I gravitate to the quarter ledge game - the quarters move off the ledges and push money off. In college I would go and also see the fortune teller. She told me I would marry someone with an S in their name. My DH's SECOND middle name Issac. so I suppose she was right but pretty vague.

Here is my food for esterday:

B: egg whites/1/2 turkey brat/decaf/miralax/cM milk/1/2 scoop GNC wheybolic powder

L:chicken gizzards/curry ketchup/cherry tom

D:chicken breast/tomato diced/mushrooms/indian spice mix

S: sugar snap peas/CM milk/CM yogurt/reddiwhip/1/4 serving kays naturals protein cookie bites

total 757

prot 104

carb 36
