What's On Your Monday Menu, RNYers?
I'm not ambitious enough to make my own yogurt... yet!
I mixed 2 vanilla "Zero" yogurt with 1/2 c unsweetened applesauce, 1/2 c of rolled oats, 1 tsp of cinnamon, 2 TBSP of vanilla almond milk and 1/2 of a chopped granny smith, peeled apple. Then divided that up into 3 1/2 c servings. It was almost perfect - I'll probably add 1/4c more of the oats next week - I like a little more of that in my breakfast.

So...the oats are uncooked when you mix them in? Are they the quick cook oats? Like minute oats or regular? This sounds yummy!

Uncooked, but regular "rolled oats". They need to sit in the frig after being mixed for at least 3 hours+ .
My daughter doesn't like this type because she says the oatmeal gets "mushy", but I love it - and much cheaper than buying the kind with the oatmeal already mixed in, which is difficult to find and full of sugar

Adding this to the grocery list. Thanks for the idea!

Hi AV and the menu gang,
I'm with you AV. I love the support I get on this board. I live nowhere near an irl support group and you guys are better anyway.
AMAW. We rocked it, didn't we? I loved how much my appetite decreased but the lack of calories really left me dragging. There were a couple of days where I only got in 300 calories and I was so stinking tired. I definitely need more in my diet than just meat.

Good morning,
Slow start here this morning, thank goodness because I am tired. It was a very busy weekend, we went out to dinner Friday night, ran around shopping for bday present for great niece on Saturday, then her party. Yesterday was breakfast with some of my favorite high school girlfriends. Love those ladies. Then more shopping with Tori. I had to buy a new printer so she could print out her assignments that are due on Wednesday when school starts.
AV, I could not possibly work retail at this point in my life, of course I am quite a bit older than you are, but no freaking way! Hope you and Michael have fun at the state fair.
QOTD: There are two fairs that are both close to my home, The Brockton Fair I would never stop foot into and the Marshfield Fair I have been to many times, but not recently. My kids both loved to go, especially to the 4H animal exhibits. My oldest loves the rides, my youngest not so much. I don't love the rides anymore, but when I was a kid I loved them. Now I just love the fried dough.

My Brother used to live in Marshfield, lives in Plymouth now. I love the coast.
