15 year old girls are the spawn of satan.

Awe, my heart goes out to you. I teach jr. and sr. high, so I know, they say things at times that just leave you wondering where the soap is. Last year I dealt with my son being bullied.  There was a kid who actually is a "big" kid, telling my kid he was fat.  My kid takes after his Dad and is honestly skin and bones.  He all of the sudden said he couldn't wear his puffy coat because he was fat.  Think of what you would say if that child had said it to another child.  Would you let that child believe they were fat?  Not on your life, so don't you go there in your head.  You've worked hard and you don't need to get caught up in the silliness of a second grader.

Isn't it nuts? Kids are nuts. . My mom was 5'10 and weighed 140 pounds in high school. Total knock out too. But she was shy, and a target. She was teased for being fat, thought she was fat well into adulthood.

And, there begins part of the problem. Even if we aren't fat, or nerdy or dumb, or whatever, we let others feed a flame and we buy into it.  There are a few different lessons to use with kids, but this may work with grade 2s.

Not silly at all. That kids a little **** head. I know it is very grown up for me saying that. You will lose more weight. What people say about us we really can't control.

Even though they are kids it can still hurt our feelings. 

Neither you nor I are fat anymore. Kids have just learned that the FAT word is an insult and usually gets a rise out of people. That said, there is a reason I will not work with children, including my own grandchildren. That my three boys survived to adulthood is a miracle in my book.

I'm sorry this made you doubt your self, I know it is hard to see how we look now as we tend to always see the person who needs to lose a few more pounds, The child probably only knows a few insults so they said that and it really is not true just all they have to use as a insult.
