Pre-op Down 3 Pounds!
...and had my first moment of "well maybe I can do this without surgery"...
I know better than that, really. Two weka from TODAY! By the way I just love the posts about meals, especially the AMAW ones. I got shrimp yesterday and had that... Able to get to 90 grams of protein for the day and almost no carbs. I think that will really help after surgery. I am a true carb addict. Potatoes bread noodles cookies are my drug of choice. Looking forward to not being ruled by them!

Hi CJ,
Congrats on your 3 lb loss, that is awesome!!
Shrimp is amazing, I would eat it for every meal if it wasn't so expensive!!
I am so glad that you are getting some great menu ideas from the menu post, please keep coming here and do post your menu too!! We have had a few pre ops that started posting on the menu post before they had surgery, its a fabulous way to get into all the post WLS routines that are such a huge part of our success. And its really a FABULOUS bunch of men and woman who are here to support one another.
Good luck your two weeks are going to fly by!

We all think we could do it without surgery. And tried. And failed.
You'll be glad you went through with it.

My doctor laughed at me during my final pre-op visit when he said "oh I see you lost the 14 pounds required before surgery..." And I was so proud of actually losing it! Not sure they realize how actually difficult it is to lose. Then again, maybe that is why they do RNY instead of some other field ;)
