What's On Your Tuesday Menu, RNYers?
Morning guys. Last night was HARD, but I did stuck with it and I did okay. I seriously almost broke and had some popcorn, but if you saw my late post on yesterday's thread, I compromised and went with plain greek yogurt, some shredded cheese and a little bit of salsa. It helped me get through it.
But it's weird, I woke up at 3:30 this morning, after only 4.5 hours of sleep. I felt ravenous, and I remembered seeing someone mention that if your blood sugar tanks in the night then your cortisol goes up and it wakes you up. I came down and tested my sugar and it was at 77, so it shouldn't have been my sugar. I was so hungry though, so I had a slice of deli meat.
My plan for the day is incomplete, since it's my oldests birthday. Joe is 17 years old today, and I can't believe he's almost old enough to vote. Today I'm driving him across town to see his grandma, my ex-mother in law. we have always gotten along, but she moved to the other side of town a few years ago and I haven't seen her in a long while. She's actually never met the baby. We're going out to lunch, but I don't know what I'm going to have. I will either eat a burger with no bun, or a chicken breast of something. I also don't know what we're doing for dinner, since hubby is going to a local brewery with his dad.
We are having a birthday BBQ for Joe on 9/4, so we'll be officially celebrating then, but this Sunday we are going to take him downtown for lunch on Sunday to celebrate his birhtday.
1 year since surgery
B: turkey deli meat, bacon and coffee with sf coffeemae
I'll update later with the rest and my totals.
stay strong people!
edited to add the QOTD: Fall! I love sweater weather, when the sun is shining and the leaves are falling. I love cider mills and crisp leaves crunching under my feet. I love back to school and I look forward to playing outside with my kiddo. Fall is my happy time.
Day 1 of AMAW+C was a huge success in more ways than one. I stuck 110% to plan with eating and got in over 100oz of water. My husband has also started back to eating protein as he had veered off the path for a few weeks and was feeling like crap. I detoxed him from carbs over the weekend and he called me yesterday to tell me he felt so much better. He had energy and wasn't tired at 2pm so he offered to drop off a few roll-offs for his boss.
QOTD: As much as I love Summer and the heat. I will say Fall is my favorite time of year. The leaves changing and having the weather more comfortable to ride is just delightful. Spring is OK to ride, but the mud and bugs can be a pain.
5am WO: 1/2 premier protein caramel shake
B: 2 eggs and 2 slices of bacon, 12oz coffee with 2tbsp of light cream (I didn't have any coffee yesterday, but missed it this morning)
L: 3oz tenderloin with gorgonzola cheese (forgot to put that on earlier)
D: 4oz grilled chicken
S: 1oz pork rinds and dannon Greek yogurt.
50oz of water in. Did T-25 speed 1.0 and all vitamins done
Cal: 926 Carbs: 15 Fats: 56 Protein: 108
QOTD: I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE winter!!! But I live a bit farther south than most of you so my winter is probably your fall. We generally get "cold" in the 30s and 40s. I also bought a super cute North Face winter Coat that I cant wait to rock! I love pumpkin, fires and toasty family activities....YEAH WINTER!!!
AMAW is going well. I had stopped logging my food in MFP because I know what to eat and just do it, but I realized on thing I do is not eat enough when I am not logging so I need to figure that out.
Yesterday I had 2 shakes, some weird proscuitto wrapped thing in string cheese(discovered I DO NOT like proscuitto but I have been watching cooking shows and wanted to be evolved) and when I got home at 130 am I ate a grilled chicken patty with a piece of provolone. I am not a big cheese eater but was trying to add something to it.
I know I hit my protein count, but it wasnt the way I wanted it to be.
SO EXCITED!! DID YOU HEAR ME??? I am so excited because in 3 weeks we are going to Universal in Orlando!!! Tickets bought, room booked, and working on what to pack this weekend....I LURV roller coasters and I will have no worries about what I can squish into and what I can't.
I don't like prosciutto either. It's too stringy and gets caught in my teeth. Blergh.
Lucky! I desperately want to go to Diagon Alley in Universal. I'm hoping to plan a trip next Spring. Enjoy :)
