What's On Your Tuesday Menu, RNYers?
Good morning and happy day two of AMAC-C, peeps!
I'm happy to report that although day one had some challenges - I passed them all with flying colors. And I'm already down 3.1 pounds (all the pounds I gained from my horrible carb-fest over the weekend - I'm already back to square one - LOVE AMAW!)
First of all I got to use my "new" George Foreman grill for the first time (it's a used one my friend gave me). Isn't AMAW a great day to try it out. Man! That thing is FAST. I used thin cuts of meat to practice on... in less that 10 minutes I had 2 huge (but thin) ribeye steaks and two bone-in pork chops all cooked up and ready for the week (well, at least for the first few days - heeheee).
Check out my first attempt... (still learning, but it was very flavorful.)
And here's my choices getting ready to be packed for the day...
And here's my choices getting ready to be packed for the day...(this is for the whole day, I'll pack it all, but never eat it all)

QOTD: Spring, without a doubt. Yes, Fall is fun now with breaking out boots and sweaters, but it's major fire season for us in Sept & Oct... still very hot and dry and scary. Boots and sweaters don't come out around here until late December... so, I pick Spring when all the flowers are in full season.
Have a great AMAW Day two everyone!!!
This is a quick drive by .. I'll be scrubbed in all day today with little chance of lunch break ....
Bring on the fall , pumpkin everything ...

Good morning!
i survived day 1 of AMAW! I was so relieved when I got up yesterday and hubby had finished up the rest of the cake. I quickly squirted some dish soap in the pan so I wouldn't get desperate later in the day and start licking up the leftover frosting. Didn't want to test my willpower!
qotd- my favorite season is any time of the year my kids are in school. Less than a wee****il they return :)
B- black coffee and Miralax
S- fajita Chicken
L- sautéed shrimp
S- deli roast beef roll ups

Hey ya'll
Everything went so well yesterday. No weight loss yet but hopefully soon. I was so full all day but made myself eat something every 3 hours at least.
Making up some turkey brats today during my lunch/getting tired of chicken
oh- and the fridge started working again! we need to decide whether to cancel the order for the new one or not-! It is almost 11 years old. I would like to not spend $1000 if i can help it. but also don't want it breaking next week... decisions decisions

that is what i'm thinking-food is important and we spend tons of money on it- I don't want it crapping out on me with all my precious food! lol I sound like schmegel!
plus when we go to sell the house in the next few years- the new buyers will not want a broken down crap refrigerator and they included in the house purchase. plus the handle is broken on the fridge anyway.
yes, im just talking myself into it- it is really a nice one :)

Tuesday is here though I am not certain I am. I am soooo sleepy. Went to visit my 18 yo daughter at her new dorm room. We walked all over the town she is in and that was a bit of a NSV for me. She didn't even hesitate and just assumed we would be all good walking up and down every hill in sight. I realized that the kids are seeing me as a healthy capable mom now in a way that never was before. She didn't ask me "You doing ok mom?" or "You wanna cut this short?" She knew I would be fine. Felt good. Also...was really great to see her but today I miss her even more. She has only been gone 10 days and I am missing her like mad. This is going to be a tough transition.
AMAW-C went well yesterday. Ended up having a hamburger patty with cheese instead of sirloin but otherwise all is well. Today might be a challenge. I left my lunchbox so I am going to be scavenging for things for breakfast and lunch. Wish me luck! I think I have a few cheese sticks and a Greek yogurt in the work fridge so I should make it.
EDIT: Forgot the QOTD: Winter is my favorite right now. Since I live in Texas it is the thing closest to Fall/Spring for those of you up north. When I lived up north I preferred Fall. In Texas we have very little in the way of fall colors...I miss that.
