What's on your Monday Menu, RNYers? AMAW Day 1
on 8/22/16 9:20 am - GTA, Ontario, Canada
Hi Monika, you are not disqualified! PP are totally allowed on AMAW-C they fall into the dairy part of the "C" part of AMAW.
Your cherry tomatoes do not BUT I am giving you a pass for a few reasons. 1. You are fully aware that tomatoes are not AMAW centred and if you have a garden full of tomatoes I would hate to see them go to waste and well 6 small is not a huge faux pas LOL LOL
Otherwise I think your menu looks great and your totals are fantastic! Keep up the great work.
Hopefully Kathy S will send you her expert instructions on how to upload and post a photo!
Thanks for participating and you are still in!!

THANKS DEANNA for getting us started!! AV where the are you, its Day 1 of AMAW!!!!
Happy Day 1 of AMAW & AMAW-C friends. already so many of you have posted and you guys are KILLING it! Look at those high protein numbers and low carb numbers, its amazing!!!
Kakesie's QOTD: My latest NSV would be flying by myself on a TINY plane last weekend to go see NYMOM (Cynthia). 1. I HATE flying and too I have never flown by myself (have flown many times but it was always with my husband or parents). So the fact that I fit into the teeny tiny seat and was able to even get on a plan by myself is a MASSIVE NSV for me.
I hope everyone had a blast this weekend shopping for meat and planning your menus! I know hubby and I did. He is so cute, as we were getting ready this morning at 5:30am for work he says to me "OH its the start of AMAW today right?" Yup hubby is down with AMAW! LOL
Deanna what an awesome weekend, I love that you were able to go for hours with moving boxes etc and you must feel so good being able to "out move" all your family & friends! Great looking menu girl! Your shrimp made me salivate, GOD I love shrimp, awesome totals!!
Time since surgery: 2 years and almost 10 months
B: black Vanilla Hazelnut coffee with 1 splenda & Miralax (Restoralax in Canada). Having my coffee black was actually okay the problem was I had to wait a long time for it to cool down to where I could drink it I don't like super hot beverages. Can of tuna with balsamic dressing
L: 3.5 oz of grilled chicken breast with bbq sauce
S: 4 slices of thick cut bacon
D: 3.5 oz of grilled chicken breast with bbq sauce
S: Marc Angelo chicken sausage with red pepper & mozzarella
TOTALS: 966 calories, 126 protein, 16 carbs, 44 fat
Vits done, calcium on alarms, water so far so good
E: Going to the gym tonight to do a step class and then will take the dogs out for a nice long walk, its cool here in Toronto and want to get the dogs out, they have been cooped up in the AC with all this nasty heat we had the last few weeks
Here are my pics!!!
A whole package of bacon getting ready to go in the oven
Grilled chicken breast, grilled sausages and cooked bacon
Bottom pic is of Today's eats: top left - can of tuna, top right chopped up chicken breast, bottom left chopped up chicken sausage, bottom right, 4 slices of bacon (broken up). Missing is chicken breast for dinner, that is in the fridge at home. AND I am such a dumb dumb... hubby has been requesting I make a Banana bread for a few weeks now so since I was doing all this cooking and grilling and meal prep I didn't even think and I made a banana bread and NOW I CAN"T EAT ANY. That really was not smart on my part, but hubby is happy, all the more for him LOL LOL

Does the banana bread have nuts in it? If it does, I would fight him for it.

Who the hell makes banana bread or zucchini bread for that matter without nuts? That is a sin.
Of course the carrot cake my sister makes does not have raisins thank god. Because who puts raisins in anything.
Oh no never had that. The only raisin I like is a plain out of the box one and even then I'm not overly crazy about them. I would rather have banana chips or dried apples over dried out wrinkled grapes. LOL
that bacon is BEAUUUUTIFUL but how can you eat it without a summer tomato? more willpower than me! actually, it all looks beautiful, but the bacon especially! You got me on the Tuna + Greens with a little dressing kick. If I would do it more often, I could probably get to losing again ... and if I could banish the skinny pop ... maybe you can just encourage us each week to me more AMAW-like.
AMAW Week- bring it on! I prepped last night, cleaned out fridge cooked protein and some BACON! yummmm bacon...

Good Morning Everyone! Excited about Day 1 of AMAW-C.
NSV... Weeding my lawn. I could never bend over before, or do any physical activity before my surgery. Used to huff and puff my way to my desk, after taking the elevator vs. using stairs to go up one flight of stairs. Yesterday, I spent the morning pulling weeds and raking. It feels good to be able to do it, because I'm planning to plant some bulbs this Fall and have a nice yard next Spring.
Menu:
B: 1 large egg fried w/ 1 oz. cheese.
L: Tuna Salad (Romaine Leaves eliminated).
D: Shrimp w/ ****tail sauce.
S: Protein Shake made with unsweetened Almond Milk.
S: (Eliminated S/Free Jello with 1T Lite Cool Whip).
Totals: Calories: 711; Carbs: 33; Protein: 84.
I am NOT buying a bag a peanuts this week....I always end up eating way too many of them. I'm able to avoid breads, which is a big plus for me.
I have to go read some labels and check out MFP so I can post my stats for the day. Will update later.
Have a great day everyone!!
