What's on your Monday Menu, RNYers? AMAW Day 1
Morning everyone!!! This girl is feeling left out because I just can't do the AMAW just yet. This persnickety pouch just isn't ready for it and I can't get in enough protein just eating... Sooooo, my mouth is watering, and I'm drooling as I look at all your pictures!
QOTD: NSVs... they seem to come several times a day... crossing my legs in my hubbie's truck, both ways, without having to grab my leg and force it over! Being in my prettiest bras now, the one I have on today is a 38DD... trying on the sundress I HAD to get (Do ya'll remember?) from Target, ended up getting an XL because they were out of the XXL when I went back to get it... well when I tried it on for my impending trip to KEY WEST, it wasn't that it was too big necessarily, but just not flattering anymore - I returned it! Grabbing a shirt out of the "not-yet-ready" clothes from the bottom rack this morning and wearing it to work! Having my boss tell me how great I look this morning, he was gone all last week, and he says he can really see a difference just from before he left... feeling my hip bones when I lay flat on the bed (I now find myself 'feeling myself up' a lot!). The list just seems to go on and on... sorry I couldn't pick just one!
B: Premier Protein Shake with Miralax
L: Sweet and spicy tuna pack with 2T mayo and a few pork rinds
D: Mexican casserole I made last night - chicken, black beans, can of roasted corn, cheese, salsa, and tons of seasoning - yum! (Yes, corn isn't great, but only 1 can in the huge casserole) I will skip any tortillas I'll heat up for the rest of the family
S: 12 mixed nuts

Thank you, my dear! It's just so much fun right now... trying to keep the future in my eye and realize this is the easy part. Must set good habits now, right??!
But in the meantime... party like it's 1999 (I was so young then! hahaha)

Feelin myself up, I gotta chuckle behind that one, especially since I find myself touching areas like my collarbone that I hardly saw much less felt 2 years ago. I still touch myself there, just to be sure its still there & I'm not dreaming it. lol

Soooo stinkin' excited for Meat Week! I'm finally 'fessing up to my awful habits (especially gaining a bit during my stressful trip last week) and can't wait to get this party started.
I went for a bike ride yesterday and ended up in an area with a lot of hills. There aren't many of them here... and I apparently found them ALL, including an 8% grade. I almost DIED, no joke. But I pulled off 14 miles, which is nothing to sneeze at compared to what I could(n't) do pre-op. Next weekend, I'm staying on the FLAT trail and shooting for at least 20, especially since I'm doing a 33-mile race in two weeks. Here's hoping I'm not an utter failure.
Anyway, here's today's menu, still need to calculate my totals:
Breakfast: Jimmy Dean turkey sausage links
Lunch: Turkey lunch meat
Snack: Korean BBQ pork jerky
Dinner: Chicken thighs with curry sauce

A 30 mile race is awesome!!!!
After my debaucle on my bike last week, we started looking for a new(er) bike for me and found one on Sunday! I now own a Trek something or another, but it's less than 2 years old and will do me well for a bit until I figure out if biking is really going to be my thing!
Any kind of hill is TOUGH... an 8% grade??? I think I would have turned around!

If I knew it was 8%, I would have bailed too! I didn't see the grade until the way back, there was a "runaway truck ramp" sign going downhill. I had to hop off and walk about halfway up... I started rolling BACKWARDS! :(
New Bike Day is the best day. What happened last week? Everything OK? I'm no expert, but I'm happy to chat cycling if you like ;)
