We grew up eating fried gizzards and livers in the south! I hated the texture of livers but I love gizzards with gravy or ketchup -yes im weird.

My first dish in the pot was what was supposed to be pulled pork. I made it with with onions, beef broth, cinnamon, cumin, bay, garlic, jalapeño and Anaheim chilies.  When it was done, it had a lot of liquid in the pot, and the broth was so good I ended up making it into pazole instead ( minus the hominy). Delish!

I'm done moving my brother and sister in law.  My hubby is on his way to their house right now to pick up a huge heavy table that I will move into my basement for my crafting table.  So, the last two days I spent 16 hours of manual labor moving a household of borderline hoarders from one house to another about a mile and a half apart.  Seriously, my brother has 4 girls, and my sister in law is a collector by nature, so they have a lot of stuff.  I encouraged a 10% purge, lol.

The sad thing is that they are leaving a gorgeous desk at the old house.  It's solid hardwood with leather insets in the top and it's just orante and beautiful.  They have no place for it, and I'd really love to take it, but I have no place for it and hubby says no.  At first I was going to take it, but then I saw the crafting table that they were going to leave as well and I changed my mind.  Maybe my sister in law isn't the only one who has a problem with stuff? LOL

You're not the only one who'd have a problem leaving quality furniture behind. A couple of years ago I finally got rid of this wooden futon that I didn't want to get rid of. Ok yeah I know its a futon, but there was nothing wrong with it & it still looked good. I have a habit of buying long lasting furniture. It lasted 10 years & no one was gonna sleep on it & I had no place to put it, but if I had a 3 bedroom apartment instead of a 2, I'd probably would've kept it another 10 years.

It was my 1st piece of "real" furniture from my 1st apartment so I guess I was a little nostalgic about it.
