good morning losers. I have a busy day of helping my older brother move. Sounds like a blast huh? Today is supposed to be a little cooler, which makes me happy. I know you guys are all going to boo and hiss at me, but I am really looking forward to fall. It's not that I'm sick of summer, I'm not at all, it's just that fall is my favorite time of year and I have some really cute sweaters that I want to wear! I'm actually wearing a cardigan today since it's only supposed to top out in the mid 70's, and you know that's cold after surgery.
So, I'm getting ready for AMAW and I went shopping yesterday. This week we'll be eating roast, chili, chicken breast, turkey taco meat with cheese and plain yogurt, turkey and cheese roll ups, tuna, and I will be sticking with my standard eggs and bacon or turkey sausage for breakfast everyday.
JBQOTD: I have a a Samsung Gearfit Smar****ch. It syncs to my phone, and I used to use it all the time. The disappointment for me is that it doesn't sync to MFP, so I have to use a go-between app called Endomondo to get my exercise into MFP, so it doesn't actually count steps, but if I purposely walk I turn the app on and it tracks it. If I could go back, I would have just gotten the fitbit when I did it. I haven't been wearing it anyway, so I really need to just get it charged up and start again.
Here's my plan for the day:
B: 1 egg, bacon, one slice of 35 calorie toast and a slice of velveeta. Coffee with sugar free coffeemate.
L: shrimp and ****tail sauce, I'm packing it and taking it with me so I don't have to eat whatever when we are out. If we decide to eat healthy out, I'll save the shrimp as a snack or share it with my brother, since he's a shrimpaholic like me.
D: Not sure yet, probably something fast. I am not sure what time we'll be home.
I feel like this is my personal health diary each day... I appreciate the support of everyone.
yesterday was not good ... I am totally unglued. I never tried so hard to be careful and follow instructions and yet to no avail a long line of my stitches still came undone. Spoke with Doc... Nothing to do. Kicker is he said if it had been sewn up correctly in ER I might not be going through this. Ugh.
So bring on AMAW - as my new slogan until I heal- in the words of my Doc-
"Eat protein until you feel like you are going to vomit"
Ate all my food yesterday and ate a whole ribeye in 2 sittings for the extra protein... Weight today 163. Down 2lbs
B1: coffee latte with premier vanilla and miralax- 20g
B2: leftover egg foo young and boneless spare rib 25g
L: roast turkey with Brie 25g
S: roasted sausage 20g
D: sirloin steak 28g
S yogurt with added whey protein 30g
S2: hot premier chocolate 20g
protein:168. My surgeon discussed the quality of the protein I am getting... Face it bars shakes and powders are Bariatric fast food. Trying to get in as much 'real food' ... I don't really believe Premier absorbs well so I am only counting it as 20g.
For some reason I don't absorb protein well... Always struggle on labs... Do I need to be above and beyond...
