What's On Your Thursday Menu, RNYers?
Literally, I could see them today. They are less than an hour away and I work half of each week in the city they are in. LOL. But they don't live with me now. They aren't home making a mess or leaving dishes in their rooms or 'forgetting' to take out the garbage or leaving the TV and all the lights on or eat every last scrap of peanut butter in the jar but still putting the jar back into the pantry... or or or...a dozen other things I wouldn't think I would ever miss but now do miss.
I will see them both next week. Just trying to power through my separation anxiety. They pitched a royal fit when I would leave them with a sitter when they were babies...I guess now it is my turn to pitch the fit.

Good morning on this Friday eve! I am silly and feel out of whack because so far this morning-people were parked in two of my parking spots at the gym (yes TWO, my primary and a back up) and then a dude was on MY treadmill, then someone was using my bathroom stall....Yeah I know, I am just a creature of habit but that stuff just kinda throws off my morning. I blame the full moon!
QOTD: For some reason that's a tough one for me and nothing came to my mind right away but when I thought about it I would say rocky road, but I used to prefer frozen yogurt over ice cream anyhow.
Time since surgery: 24 months
B: SF latte, egg beaters with shredded cheese, 2 turkey sausage links and 1/3 cup green grapes
L: Bananas and cream protein shake with powdered PB2 with chocolate
S: SF latte, Boston cream pie L&F Greek yogurt, pork rinds and pepperoni stick
D: Spinach crust pepperoni pizza, some baby carrots and SF jello
E: 6 miles this morning and elliptical at lunch
V/W: On track
Totals: Cals:1191 Protein:133 Carbs:68 Fat:41
Have a great one!
I am totally a creature of habit and don't like to deviate from my normal routine. I mean, if I go somewhere I need to drive a certain route, in the proper lane, and if I can't for some reason it makes me anxious.
I don't have problem going new places, or anything, but once I go somewhere a few times I usually have a routine of how I do it. Like going to my moms house, I change to the right lane on the freeway at a certain point to make my exit.
I have a slight control problem/creature of habit also sometimes.
yesterday dh ws going to go to walmart to buy a few things- and I always do the food shopping- so i was like- well im out of my carbmaster yogurt at kroger, etc etc.
so he gets home and he went to kroger. he didn't tell me he was doing that, then he only got my yogurt, not the other things i needed like special milk, reddi whip etc. I was like why didn't you tell me you were going there so I would make sure to remind you to get me my food i need! i was so frustrated. then i had no milk or reddi whip that i NEEDED. so today im 'making' due with premier protein in my coffee instead which is more calories than my milk. going back out to store today to get my FOOD!
editing to say that I felt really bad about getting mad about food- it was stupid but it annoyed me.
i thanked him several times for getting my yogurt even if he didn't quite get the flavors right or any of the other things i wanted.
I used to hate when people wouldn't show up at college (especially when I was an "older" student) all quarter and then sit in MY seat for the midterm. I actually made someone move once. I said, hey that is my seat and I have been here for every class, so find another place to sit. He later would come to class and save my seat for me

Morning everyone!!
ONE WEEK TO MY KEY WEST TRIP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not that I'm excited or anything! I am so sore from my THUMP on Tuesday... last night I realized I also bruised my left hip - I guess from the bike falling on me... so I have two bruises, one of each hip, and a nice gash on my ankle... I look good!
This morning we had our 'Executive Breakfast', so I went down. they had made this crustless quiche, with sausage and cheese. It was divine, but I knew there was something else in it that wasn't 'healthy'... so I asked the manager of the cafe. They had crumbled biscuits in it! Grrrr... Oh well, I only ate a couple of tablespoons of it once I realized there was something else in there (I was thinking pancake batter, like IHOP), but still, why ruin a perfectly good thing with biscuits??
I also made a stop at Starbucks this morning... my first Latte since surgery! It's still sitting here at my desk, I can't drink really hot stuff, so I usually wait until I get to work to drink it, but then I had to go downstairs, blah blah blah... so a Grande Decaf SF Caramel latte sits here waiting for that food to go down so I can have it! I'll end up reheating it in the microwave, but soon, baby! Soon! (and yes, they are discontinuing the SF caramel here in OK too... And I told them that made me sad!)
QOTD: Ice cream... eh, I'm not, and have never been, a huge fan of ice cream. But when I do indulge (which I don't anticipate that happening ever again, because I just know I'll dump), I like vanilla ice cream over some kind of warm brownie/chocolate cake, with marshmallow topping, and obnoxious amounts of whipped cream... nuts, and of course a cherry or two.
B: Mystery quiche from the cafe
S: SF Caramel latte
L: No idea, have to meet the girl child at the GI doc at 12:15... maybe my shake I didn't have for breakfast
D: Again, no idea, taking the kids school clothes shopping directly from work... maybe Chick Fila grilled nuggets? they are in the same parking lot as where we are going

your trip will be so fun! Loved going to mallory square and watching the sunset and shopping
that sounds like something us southerners would do- put biscuits in everything.
