Happy Hump Day!

Last night I had the bright idea of taking our bikes - which have sat in our garage for AT LEAST three years, untouched - up to the Lake to go riding... and off we went! My bike (a cheap Mongoose) needs work. The handle bars were loose, and the gears wouldn't change correctly. BUT we did get in almost 6 miles! Of course, at one point, I was going up a VERY SLIGHT incline and was trying to shift gears and just kept slowing down. I went to stop, and when I went to put my foot down, I was on the edge of the trail, and there was a slight drop down to the grass... well down I went. PLOP! Hubby said he heard me PLOP. hahaha! I ended up with a nice cut on my ankle and a bruise on my hip! ROFLMAO... So my first outing was less than stellar... but that happened at the 1/2 way mark, and I hopped on hubby's bike (he offered to trade) and made it back just fine to the car. My plan is for us to do this 3x a wee****il the weather gets too cold for it. It was nice though, and in a few weeks, I'll be able to go all the way around the lake! (10 miles)

QOTD: I bought this book... and it sits in that nightstand we talked about recently... unread. I do need to pull it out. I'm not sure what I need... I think I am a cross of physical touch and words of affirmation to make me happy, although an occasional gift is nice too. Hubby is definitely words of affirmation, and sometimes I forget how much praise he needs, although sex might be a close second for him  Which I guess is physical touch??!

B: Premier Protein shake (although, I walked past the cafe downstairs on my way in and they were making bacon, damn I almost stopped!)

L: Probably a can of smoked oysters I have in my desk drawer

D: pork chops smothered in mushroom gravy and cooked until they are tender enough for me to eat! Zucchini zoodles if I get out to the store to buy one of those vegettis! Otherwise, I'll probably make noodles for the family, and maybe have a couple on my plate too.

S: I bought a new can of nuts for my desk! I'll probably pull out 10 or so before lunch.

No "Mount" anythings here in OKC!

But thanks for the sentiments. I did alright, until the last 1/2 mile or so... then I set my sites on Louie's (bar/restaurant) and just started pedaling as fast as I could, telling myself if I went faster, I'd get there faster too...  I never passed one bicyclist, but about 30 passed me! hahaha! Now if I could have just talked Hubby into having a drink there, it would have been a perfect ending! ROFLMAO
