They add a lot of flavour! I love the 3 onion rub from Pampered Chef- I use it as a shake on seasoning and a rub- we go through a lot of it.

I lurve that caramel fudge pretzel yogurt.  So good.

How's everything going with your IIFYM?  I'm intrigued but scared by it at the same time.  LOL

I haven't tried the caramel fudge pretzel yogurt, so I am excited! 

IIFYM is going really well!  I feel WAY less urge to binge.  I feel more in control of myself, which is HUGE.  My macros are set for "cutting", which is fat loss.  I am still in my maintenance weight, but really, I am pretty stoked with the macros, even if they are my maintenance ones!!

I signed up but haven't had the nerve to try to hit the macros yet.  I set them for fat loss and it's about 500 cal. more a day than I eat now.  Since my surgeon was surprised I could get in as much as I was eating, I thought I should hold off for a while.  I'm very impressed and proud of you, Melissa!!

Ugh, I hope that didn't sound too patronizing . . . what I mean when I say I'm proud of you is I was very worried when you were on your all shake all the time kick.  I didn't think it was helping you develop a healthy relationship with food.  I'm proud of you in that you were open to the new eating plan and threw yourself into it full force.

Not patronizing, I totally get what you are saying!  At  the time, the shakes helped me mentally break that carb cycle I was in.  Then they were, for sure, causing more binging!

Good morning! I know, I'm feeling it too- how can it only be Wednesday- and to top it all off- managed to spill coffee all down the front of my dress when I was on the train today. Today was the only day I was grateful for the 20 minute wait for the shuttle bus after I got off the train. It was the skirt part of the dress, so I was able to rinse it in the sink and then dry it mostly with the air dryer.  :)

Day 3 of pre-op diet and 21 day fix done. Almost didn't get my workout in- I procrastinated on getting up for so long - but I think it's because the Lower Fix day is my least favourite.  Hubby very sweetly drove me to the train station so I was able to fit it in.

Breakfast- Protein shake

Lunch - Salad with some leftover homemade meat balls  - just lean ground beef and oregano.

Dinner - To be determined but it may not be healthy. We have bible study on Wednesday nights so it will have to be quick, and groceries are low.

Kids can really eat when they're home for summer vacation. Up here, they don't go bac****il Tuesday after Labour Day- That's how it's always been - even when I was a kid.  They also are in school until the end of June.

I wasn't sure how to answer the QOTd- but there's a questionnaire on-line, so I did it quick, and I am primarily Receiving Gifts followed by Acts of Service.  I was a bit surprised as I don't think I'm overly materialistic, but I do appreciate little gifts- doesn't have to be expensive (good thing too! lol) but just something to show he was thinking about me. He isn't great about it- but he does always get me flowers if I've been away- even when I go away on my girls trip every year.  I'm quite sure that my hubby is Acts of Service- he is so good to me- always doing things around the house.

Today is my Friday, hallelujah, this week has been nuts so far!

QOTD: I would guess mine would also be acts of service.  I am always doing those little things as well as the big things for my family.   Hubby does as well.

Time since surgery almost 16 months

B:  1 egg, 1 slice whole wheat toast w/ 1 tbsp. cottage cheese w/chives

L:  Tuna, lettuce and tomato.

D:  ?  It's Wednesday, hubby's day off.  I'm sure it will be something with chicken or fish.

S:  Kraft cheddar stick,

The fridge was a little mother hubbardy this a.m.  Hopefully hubby fits shopping in along with his dr. appt. and haircut.

QOTD: first of all, we are huge fans of this book. I have the 5 live languages at work version on my kindle right now.  My love language is act of service, it used to be gifts but as I have become a minimalist it changed as my thinking changed.

But to think you can only be physical touch in an intimate relationship is wrong. A person with physical touch in the work place is the one who touches your shoulder to get your attention or stands in your personal space unintentionally because it isn't personal to them. 

Meeting someone's love language isn't huge, grand gestures but just a string of little things. 

My eating has sucked. I am down for an AMAW. If Grim and Daisy saw my menus the last few days they would snatch my bacon tiara off my head! 

My life is in a tailspin right now but today I am snatching my eating habits back to try to pull it back together.
