What's on Your Wednesday Menu, RNYers?
Good Wednesday morning! You guys, I'm just not feeling the whole 'work' thing today. I might be coming down with something. coughcough Yeah, I'm def. unwell and will need to leave early today so I can go home and rest.
Operation Reboot is not going as well as I'd hoped. LOL Yesterday there was a 1/2 slice of breakfast pizza and some pretzel jello salad. WTF, Kristen? Get your head back in the game, you walnut. Ugh. Like Deanna posted on another thread, I think we (I) need another AMAW challenge. Who's in?
QOTD! What's your "love language"? LOL Don't laugh! My coworker just casually mentioned that her love language is 'touch', so I naturally had to Google it and I guess there's a book called The Five Love Languages. The author essentially says that there are 5 different ways to express and experience love: gifts, quality time, words of affirmation, acts of service (devotion) and physical touch. I would have to say that my primary love language is acts of service, followed by words of affirmation. I like to do things for Matt that I know he likes (get yo minds out the gutter! ) and in turn, I like when he does things for me. It could be as simple as emptying the dishwasher or taking my car in for an oil change. It tells me he took the time to do something for me and that's love. As far as words of affirmation, he always tells me I'm beautiful and that he loves me. Every single day. He may be a dick sometimes (see yesterday's post, lol), but he's my lobster.
Time since surgery: 2 years, 1 month today!
B: deli turkey on Pepperidge Farm light oatmeal bread (this **** is the bomb) and a string cheese. Don't judge my weird breakfast.
S: Breakstone pineapple cottage cheese double
L: shrimp and ****tail sauce. Fun story: I made my own ****tail sauce and even though I like spicy, I put waaaayyy too much horseradish in this bad boy. Yesterday at lunch my eyes were tearing and my nose was running. LOL I had to add some extra ketchup so's to not kill myself.
D: grilled chicken and cucumber/tomato salad
TOTALS: Cals: 806 Protein: 105 (woo!) Carbs: 59 (meh) Fat: 15 (wow, that's low)
Have a great day everyone!
Your lobster ! I'm with you, my primary love language is acts of service for sure.
Guess what! My WEDDING DRESS IS IN! Like 4 weeks earlier than it was supposed to be. I'm super excited, but nervous! Will it fit? Will I still love it? I'm not actually going to get to get it for a couple weeks though - so I have to just wait around and worry LOL. At the time it made sense, but I ended up buying it at a shop out by my parents' house which is a little more than an hour away. Well between work right now and going on vacation the week after next, I don't know if I'll be able to get to it until after Labor Day, damnit!

Hmmmm.....maybe I never said it here....we're getting married November 12, which is a mere 87 days away, as the Knot so fondly reminded me this morning. Basically everything big is set, except music, which is getting complicated. I also still need to knit and crochet a million flowers. A MILLION!

Seriously! I wanted there to be NO CHANCE that it would be hot on my wedding day (hopefully stupid global warming doesn't ruin that for me)!
