Well, I had my RNY on Monday 8/15.  I was able to come home today.  Everything seemed to go smoothly and my doctor is very happy with my results.  I've got some very sore abdominal muscles, which I think is my biggest issue.  So glad to be on this side of it and start working toward a new lifestyle.  I've on a full liquid phase for 2 weeks and have been drinking protein shakes and water for today.  Maybe tomorrow I will try to incorporate some broth.  I can only have it 1-2 ounces every 15 minutes so tracking that seems to keep me busy.  I am looking forward to a good night's sleep and again, thank you all for your wisdom and support.

If you can do 2 things- just concentrate on liquids and walking. You do not have to really do much of anything else at this time, at least for the next week.

My surgery is on Monday! I'm glad to hear that the pain seems to be minimal and more sore then anything!

They keep telling me to practice sipping... They gave me a 1 ounce cup and I've been trying to sip... It's not working well... Are you finding that you can take in more then just a sip at a time?
