I have always drank decaf. Not because I couldn't drink the real stuff. It always made me feel weird.

I have always had decaf too... caffeine (even in a soda when I drank far too much Diet Dr. Pepper) affects me in weird ways. I get shaky, and then I fall head first into a bag of (insert any) carb loaded snack I can grab! My favorite were the Red bag of lays potato chips!

My surgeon told me no caffeine after surgery, so I drank decaf after couple of weeks. At my 3 month check up, I asked if I could start drinking regular coffee again and he said OK to one small cup (not mug) per day.

my NUT said no caffeine after surgery, so I switched to decaf.  They even served me decaf in the hosptial.  I switched to regular at about 3 months post op.  i drink a couple cups a day now.
