No coffee-sad face

Surgery is two weeks from today, woohoo! I'm working on weaning down my major caffeine habit. I'm down to two mugs But just a mugthis week. Yes, that is an improvement. I notice many of you do drink coffee...how long did you wait to introduce it? I'm not wanting my heavy habit back. But just a mug in the morning would be nice.

My surgeon said I could add it back after 3 months and I did (1 cup in the morning).

Good Afternoon, My surgeon allowed me to have caffeine after my 3 month appointment. He wanted to make sure I was getting plenty of water in before I added it. Of course, this is just the way my surgeon handled it with me.

My surgeon never said a word a word about it. I added it back once I could get in all my water.

A lot of people drink coffee right after the surgery.  My surgeon wanted 12 weeks before I started again.  You're smart to wean yourself off, I didn't and I think the caffeine withdrawal headaches were worse than the pain of the surgery itself.

I decided to do it this way after my first appointment...I had to fast and so I had no coffee until 2pm when I was done with all my tests. I was in agony! Once was enough, lol.

I was allowed decaf (unlimited after three months).  At six months, I could have regular, but only one cup a day.

I was allowed coffee after 6 months.  I didn't really miss it those first few months...and I love my coffee.  I have one cup in the morning now.
