What's On Your Monday Menu, RNYers?
Good Morning! I had a nice weekend. Nothing too exciting except that we got a new chest freezer yesterday. I am hoping to save some money on our electricity bill since the one we had was huge and at least 30 years old (no joke!).
Can I join you on the operation reboot train? It's usually in the evenings for me too, but sometimes I grab something at work (usually a package of almonds or a granola bar). Here's to being mindful.
QOTD: I also have the dresser on my side of the bed. I have my alarm clock, bottle of water, coaster, lotions, and carmex.
Time since surgery: 24 months
B: SF latte, egg beaters with shredded cheese, 2 turkey sausage links and ½ an orange
L: Bananas and cream protein shake with powdered PB2 with chocolate
S: SF latte, Strawberry cheesecake L&F Greek yogurt, pork rinds and jerky
D: Chili lime chicken burger, some baby carrots and SF jello
E: 45 mins stepper this morning and 40 mins elliptical at lunch
V/W: On track
Totals: Cals:1192 Protein:140 Carbs:71 Fat:35
Have a great one!
You should jump on the mantra train! It's been super useful to me, well, for the week I've been using the strategy that is.

Morning everyone! Happy Monday...
It's happy for me because my boss leaves today for the rest of the week! Bonus for me!
I had a pretty good weekend. We spent most of it cleaning up our front yard, side yard, and backyard to make the insurance dude happy. If he's not happy today, HE can do the rest of the yardwork. I did have an epiphany on Saturday, while we were carrying things around. I was carrying in 50lb bags of horse/cow feed, and I realized that as I struggled to get these bags from the truck into the garage and emptied into the cans, that I've lost 60 pounds, yet I could barely managed these 50lb bags. My wonderful boss- who I'm celebrating his departure - explained to me that's because I've lost so much muscle. Kiss my arse, Mr. Boss... (And yes, I do need to start some weight training, but still, don't rain on my parade!)
QOTD: Nightstand. CPAP I don't use (I really just need to decide if I'm going to use it again, or just pack it up!), charging strip that holds chargers for my phone and IPad, plus I plug in the lamp, clock, and CPAP in there as well) Alarm clock that I don't use except to see the time in the middle of the night, some of the ceramic dishes, dinosaurs, horses, etc. that my kids have made over the years, a candle that only gets lit when we're having sex or the electricity goes out, and I'm not sure what else... it has three drawers in it... all filled with miscellaneous crap!
B: Premier Protein Shake
L: Leftover chicken parmesan that I made last night (Carb friendly, and VERY tender)
D: up the butt chicken, ahem, I mean beer can chicken to everyone else, cottage cheese, fresh cucumber and tomato from the garden, and possibly zoodles - fresh zucchini from the garden as well (Not sure I'll eat the veggies... I'm still afraid to try raw veggies for some reason)
The ice cream truck came down our street last night... Mind you, we live on a dirt road that dead ends about .1 miles down from our house. We are 7 miles North of our little town... hearing that music was like being in a dream from my childhood. When we heard him I told my hubs that I'd buy if he came down our street, and darn if he didn't turn down! When he stopped, I asked him if he had anything sugar free. Nada, Nothing... and he looked at me like I was the devil. Ah well, hubs and boy child both got something, and I paid. I bet that SOB will be down our street every night now

Good morning everyone,
I'm finally back home. It was a weird trip. You guys have become my friends, but I don't want to totally dump the weirdness all on you. So I'll give you the good and bad version and try to leave out the ugly, lol.
The good: it was WONDERFUL to see my son. He is so happy where he is and has matured so much in the 1.5 years he's been in Canada. He is obviously well liked by the people he lives and works with. I'm very proud of him. Also, the food went well. There was not much protein available, but I brought a bunch of protein shakes and ended up drinking one or two a day. I had zero appetite on this trip and came back with a three pound weight loss. I also got to meet Karen in Nebraska and that was great. She introduced me to moon cheese and I'm addicted.
The bad: we were in the car for three days on the way there and three days on the way back. Exhausting. My girls did great and were real troopers but my mom was totally nuts. I'll leave out all the truly ugly and suffice it to say I will NEVER go on a road trip with her again. I didn't sleep very much on the trip and woke up earlier and earlier every day. I started to have some pretty severe anxiety and depression and thought it was due to sleep deprivation. I got home and realized that I had FORGOTTEN one of my antidepressants totally. So I was cold turkey for eight days and was a basket case when I got home. I'm feeling a little more normal today, but it will take a few days to get my brain straightened out again.
Here's a picture of me with my son and my daughters that went with me. I look a little frazzled and sleep deprived.
Qotd: I moved a short bookshelf next to my bed for a nightstand because I never had enough room. So there are always stacks of books and my kindle, my all purpose jewelry, Chapstick, etc. box. My glasses, and my phone.
Food for today: I don't know. I still don't have much of an appetite. I'll have a protein shake for breakfast and probably left over roast beef for lunch. There is no food in the house so I'll get to the store today and get something good for dinner.

BE NOT AFRAID JPII
So... is this Moon Cheese better than Mr. Cheeso's??
I don't like the Parmesan ones, but I adore the cheddar ones ;)

I'm probably the only person on here that doesn't like Mr.Cheese O's. They're not disgusting or anything, they're just not very good to me.
Moon cheese is amazing, it gives you that salty crunch you crave sometimes, but it's all cheese, so it tastes like cheese. They sell bags of it at Starbucks, I've had all the flavors and they're all good, but I think the cheddar is probably my favorite.
I order Mr. Cheese O's and Moon Cheese from www.netrition.com. They have a $5.99 flat rate shipping.
