What's On Your Monday Menu, RNYers?
Good morning,
Had a great weekend, went on a tear around the house saturday morning, even scrubbed down both bathrooms and got the floor washed. Made my wings, went to Target for a few things and then to my bil's for a family get-together.
So, my "surprise" visitor which wasn't a surprise at all was my daughter and her fiance. Yes, I said fiance. They got engaged on Saturday. Derek came over Wednesday to ask permission (even though they've been living together for over a year). We are all so happy. I love him like a son, I've known him since they were in kindergarten. So yesterday morning they came over to share the news and show us the ring. No date yet, I'm sure it will be more than a year away.

Morning AV and my favorite internet people. I have a fantastic weekend at the beach. Saturday it was way cooler than I would have liked. It was 78 degrees, but mostly overcast and windy. We still enjoyed the beach, but I spent a good part of the day wrapped in a towel trying to stay warm. Yesterday was the opposite, it was sunny and hot and the water was perfect. The problem was that my youngest was so worn out he was cranky and ready to go. So we stayed at the lake for a few hours and then took our time getting home. I made a huge mistake in getting ice cream (actually a banana split) right before we left to come home and then had severe gas pressure and pain on the drive. I was praying for a good fart, that never really came, lol. I am wondering if I'll ever learn my lesson with ice cream...
Anyway, my eating was really good on Saturday, we packed picnic lunch with fresh fruit and veggies, so didn't over snack and had a reasonable dinner at the restaurant that night. I had BBQ brisket for lunch, so Sunday was good until I had that ice cream, and I even skipped dinner last night because I had just had too much crap and couldn't even imagine having anything more.
My 1 year follow up with my bariatric surgeon is on Wednesday. I'm going to be chugging water and staying low carb in hopes that my scale will move. I didn't weigh today, but I will in the morning. Hoping to get close to my lowest here in the next day or so. I might double up on some miralax for the next few days as I feel really backed up.
KQOTD: My night stand holds the CPAP that I don't use anymore, my alarm clock and the charger for my "back massager" lmao. Yes, I have a fancy rechargable "back massager" heheheh.
B: 1 egg, 1 slice of bacon, 1 piece of toast and a velveeta slice. Coffee with sugar free coffeemate
L: tuna, tomato and cheese on 1 slice of 35 calories toast
D: grilled chicken and steamed broccoli
S: light and fit greek and popcorn. I need another snack, but not sure what it's going to be yet.
Totals:
calories 728 protien 82 carbs 59 fat 25
This is like 300 calories lower than what I want, and I'd like to up my protein a bit. I might have another yogurt to boost my numbers.
Here's a few pictures of my weekend.
Morning RNY'ers! My Sunday was spent mostly at home. Laundry, cleaning, and lots of TV.
QOTD: What's NOT on my nightstand should be the question LOL. Let's see, a lamp, I-phone/watch/earphone chargers, a stack of folders with papers for the kids, my photo album from my wedding, bands for my apple watch. That's about it I think. I'm near the dresser, and that has any spillover from what doesn't fit on my nightstand. My night stand had 2 deep drawers; both filled to the gills. I do go through it periodically so I know its not all junk.

As I am still pre surgery I have the dubious honor of having along with my lamp and alarm clock my god foresaken CPAP machine Uuuggghhh ! I hate that thing and can't wait to make that co-morbidity go away. I think I'm gonna sma**** with a sledge hammer when I can ! Or give it to a organization that can give it to someone in need. My bark is way bigger than my bite !
