What's On Your Monday Menu, RNYers?
Good morning! My birthday weekend was excellent - the play "Shakespeare in Love" was funny and really well done, the cheesecake was everything a cheesecake should be, and there was chilled dealcoholized champagne with only 25 cal/glass - relative decadence without consequence (from the champagne, anyway, the cheesecake not so much).
QOTD: my nightstand has a clock, a lamp, a small flashlight, and a little dish of dog treats used to distract the dogs during thunderstorms. When I'm ready to sleep, my eBook goes there too.
B: ham
L: salmon and avocado
D: roast beef if I cook it today, otherwise eggs or ham
S: fruit, chicken nibblers
ETA: tried Quest bars for the first time this weekend - was surprised at how filling they are. One flavour was delicious and not too sweet, the other had a funny chemical aftertaste. They're really expensive in Canada, so won't be a regular item on my shopping list. It was good to taste them after reading about them for such a long time.

Good morning! I fared okay this weekend...Super-duper fun few days, but I won't pretend that I was the picture of healthy RNY eating. But it was all planned, so I am not feeling too badly about the wine or kettle corn. I needed more protein, though. Today I am at 114, which is right where I want to be in maintenance, so I didn't mess up too badly!
I think there is a full sugar and sugar free version of the French Vanilla syrup. Glad you got lucky and got the SF one! I had a few sips of a full sugar iced coffee drink yesterday and LET ME TELL YOU...I wanted to hurl in the bushes. So much yuck in that yum.
QOTD: a book, a clock, a lamp, water, a remote control and many, many pairs of earrings that I always forget to take out until I am lying in bed.
B: 2 cups of Fit Frappe Mocha Protein Coffee
S: Greek Yogurt
L: Hamburger crumbles with salsa
S: Peanuts and Babybel Cheese
D: Bacon Wrapped Scallops!
S: ??

Happy Monday Everyone!
My weekend was pretty relaxed. Walked the dogs and enjoyed petting them and playing with them. Read a lot. Hung out at home.
QOTD: My nightstand is also my "daystand" since I sleep in my recliner chair. It has my large water mug on it, my bottle of calcium pills so I don't forget to take them, books, the remote controls and other miscellaneous stuff on it.
What I ate yesterday was: a Clif protein bar, 14 almonds, 1/2 cup cottage cheese, 2 ears corn on the cob, moon cheese, 2 slices swiss cheese and a Clif protein bar.
Have a wonderful week everyone!
~ Karen
This weekend was good. It was HOT and muggy, but that's ok, way better than friggin snow! The boys and I made homemade mini chocolate chip muffins....I was like I can TOTALLY fit one into my macros. Well one turned into like 6 throughout the day. Oops, I mean they are like bite size...and way too easy to eat as you walk by the damn container.
QOTD: I have a lamp, my alarm clock, a camelbak with water, my kindle, glasses and hair ties.

Many of you know already I had a lovely visit from our own Daisy Doo... Just what the Doctor ordered. A nice balance of helping get a few errands and things done, Target shopping and just hanging chatting on the couch while I do my couchtime recovery. She also was my helper for my painting class Friday night and took her on a 'tour':) of the local butcher shop. JB -- I think she did her job this weekend between NY Diner and pizza... Up a few pounds this morning... Also shoutout to our own MaryAnn who gifted me an awesome house cleaning service this weekend as well. Felt so blessed. You are all the best and keep me going on this crazy journey we are on.
QOTD: lamp. Little glass tray I lay my phone in while it's charging. Regular phone, usually various earrings as well... And a round footed fancy glass tray thing that has a pretty clock, vase with flowers and various girly knick knacks on it.
