Vitamins
I am taking Optisource 4x a day and it says I take one 4x a day. Supposedly this is a complete but now I am worried that the calcium citrate in it cancels the iron.
Unfortunately, my program is very little help.
Can someone weigh in on this?

I wouldn't count on getting much iron from these.
The bigger issue is, we are recommended to get 200% of the RDV of vitamins and minerals. Most of the ingredients on these are 25% for each tablet, so you would need EIGHT per day. They don't seem like a very good fit for us, and probably end up being expensive as well.
Have you considered the patch?

Weird because they are intended for post op patients. I looked at the patch but got intimidated because I wasn't sure what to order
Any insight? I am due to order
Most people seem to use just the multi patch. 12 hours for one patch, then 12 hours without. Most also seem to need some extra iron, B12, and D3.
I have had problems absorbing oral calcium. What I use is one multi patch and one calcium/D3 patch per day. I also take a B12 sublingual, 2,000, once per week. It's easier and less expensive to take one oral B12 per week than an extra B12 patch every day.

I was somewhat iron deficient at my 3 month post-op checkup even though I was taking all my vitamin supplements religiously. My surgeon said to make sure I space my iron and calcium by 2 hours. I set alarms to remind me when it is time.
