What's on Your Wednesday Menu, RNYers?
Ask him if you can exchange it for a nice browned steak...
That's just not right at all!

Got back from Dc last night....slept but feel like I got rolled by a steam rolller still. Was convinced I had to have gained weight...between eating out (which is torture when you can't sit)- road trip snacks etc.... On my door when I got home was a wonderful Amazon box from our own Daisy Doo---- of Snacks...yummmy yummmy snacks...I promptly ate 3... Which I was feeling guiltily delicious about. SO I weighed myself this morning....I lost 2 more pounds. That is 11 pounds in a week when I was in my maintenance zone already....
Who would have ever thought? SO Swing a chicken, say a prayer...been doing MFP Grim- I always said I would be willing change if needed so I am doing MFP to make sure I am getting enough in....but I guess it is not really enough.
I am too tired to even think of a menu, I have food in the house....and need to eat and rest...

I'm back again! Gallbladder surgery is way easier than the bypass, thanks to everyone for your tips and encouragement. Bonus plus, awesome pre-surgical nursing team actually found a viable vein in my arm, so I didn't have my signature neck IV. The tummy still isn't...umm...right. I can only eat a bite of something and I'm done and I have to be even more careful about what I eat than I already was. Dairy does NOT sit well. I'm hoping things will work itself out as I go, it's only been a week. Here's your TMI for the day, constipation issues are a thing of the past, at least this week. As soon as I eat, I'm running to the bathroom.
Food: I have some chicken salad, soup, and Mary's Gone Crackers.
QOTD: I like all vegetables - EXCEPT KALE. That **** is nasty.
Here's my new, post surgical wound (cause you're all dying to see it, right?). No more bikini modeling for me! Between the bypass, a botched appendectomy and gallbladder removal, it looks like I've spent the last 5 years in San Quentin with cellmates that hate me.
Glad overall it went well. Heal well my friend. Make sure you are eating protein mostly if you can only eat a little...need that to heal. Love your last line....hahhahaha...it is quite a journey, right?

I had my gallbladder out 14 years ago... long before RNY... I remember those bathroom trips! LOL Sometimes they are downright scary! Good news though, it does work itself out and the liver learns not to overload the body with all that bile... hopefully you'll be OK in time!
For me... I hate to say it, but I miss being so willing to 'go'! Since the RNY, I celebrate each bathroom trip, especially if it doesn't feel as though I'm having another baby!

The dairy and running to the bathroom issues will get better once your body adapts. 5 days after my gallbladder surgery I was on a plane for work. Because I believe I'm invincible (or just stupid) I decided to ignore my surgeon's warning that dairy could be bad and I could have diarrhea for a while with any food. Anyway, I got a latte and the airport and it sat fine so I thought "all's good." Until about 3 minutes before we landed . . . I would have knocked over old ladies and babies to get off that plane and get to the bathroom . . . It does get better, though.
QOTD: I love asparagus, green beans, and Mushrooms! (and avocados, broccoli, sweet potatoes, brussel sprouts, cucumbers, bell peppers, and edamame to name just a few more!) My whole family are mushroom lovers and we often have them sauteed as a side dish all on their own. I've had to really be careful with them though because I just can't seem to chew them to the satisfaction of my pouch right now
B: Premier Protein Shake
L: Can of smoked oysters, and maybe a pork rind or 3 if I have room!
D: No idea... kids are at band camp until 10, and hubby is out of town... it'll just be me! Maybe a leftover wing I grilled the other day if there are any left, or 2 piece of deli ham wrapped around a cheesestick.
weight this morning... 200.8 Onderland is creeping up on me!
