What's on your Sunday Menu, RNYers?

Good morning! Thanks for all of the birthday wishes yesterday! Yesterday was actually birthday eve-eve. Today is birthday eve! Yes, it's creeping closer and closer and we are celebrating, hard!
You guys, yesterday was SO fun! High Tea was lovely and yummy and Polo was great. I ate really poorly but the good news is that I didn't eat much, so in a shocking twist, I actually lost a pound this morning. It's a birthday eve miracle! Yesterday even ended in a rainbow, so you know there was a miracle or two involved! Here is the full menu from yesterday: 2 cheese cubes, 1/4 turkey and bacon on white bread, 1 orange and cranberry scone (with BUTTER), 1 thin slice of pound cake, and 1 hazelnut covered truffle. Then about 1/4 of a hot dog and bun, later. Oh and a Pimm's cup. Ok, now that I read it, it really WAS crap. But oh-so-good. Back to more normal, today...
Today the fun continues with a trip out to Western MA to Tanglewood--the outdoor summer home of the Boston Pops Symphony. It's gorgeous out there in the Berkshire mountains and Grim was kind enough to get me tickets to see the Pops. People often bring really elaborate picnics there. I have been trying to explain the concept of GLAMPING to Grim... ;) Anyway, today our picnic won't be so elaborate. We are running to the store this morning to get some deli meat and cheese and I'll bring my usual protein forward snacks, like Mr. Cheese Os, nuts, and beef jerky.
QOTD: What is your exercise routine? I mentioned yesterday that I am just getting back into the swing of it. I always do a little time on the elliptical or go for a short run, but the past week I have really tried to make myself SWEAT. Do you do the same thing every day or vary your routine? How often do your push yourself past the point of comfort and lose your breath? Inspire me!
I hope everyone has as wonderful of a day as I will! Enjoy!

Good Morning Everyone!
I'm glad you're having such a wonderful birthday weekend, JB!
Ereiam (Amy) and I had a super meet-up in Kearney, Nebraska yesterday! She is such a sweetheart with adorable daughters and a very nice mom! We had a wonderful time! Watch for pictures on Monday!
QOTD: My exercise routine is walking my two dogs (or riding my stationary bike, but usually it's walking the dogs).
Yesterday I ate: A Clif protein bar, a Subway Caesar salad, a hot dog, sugar-free pudding, moon cheese and a Clif protein bar.
Have a fantastic day everyone!

Happy Sunday! Let the birthday paoolza-ing continue! I ended up waking up early so I have time to post before my gym time. Today I have church and then meeting up with a dear friend for lunch that I don't get see often but she's visiting from Idaho right now and can't wait to catch up.
Today my menu looks like this: Latte and shake for breakfast, skinnylicious chicken tacos from Cheesecake Factory for lunch, latte, jerky, pork rinds and yogurt for lunch and for dinner burrito bowl with shredded chicken, black beans, cheese and sour cream.
QOTD: My routine is well pretty routine... Sun, Tues, Thurs and Sat are my gym days where I do an hour on the treadmill and that usually ends up being about 6 1/2 miles but some days I try and sprint the last few mins, Mon, Wed and Fri I do my stationary stepper at home in the morning. I also try and get 40 mins elliptical during my lunch break during the work week and may go one of the weekend days for a swim at the gym (Em loves to go). I do try and take the stairs whenever possible and walk as much as I can (park farther from stores and such).
Hope everyone has a great day!
Happy Sunday!
I'm sitting here drinking my coffee and watching CBS Sunday morning. My favorite way to start a Sunday.
Happy birthday eve to JB! Love the pics you guys are adorable.
QOTD- I don't have a regular excercise routine :( I'm actually watching a segment on athletes in their 90's. I need to at least use my elliptical.
Todays menu
B- coffee with creamer and Splenda
S- Dannon light and fit Greek yogurt banana caramel
L- 2 oz deli turkey and 1 slice pepper jack
S- I found Mr. Cheese Os at Target :)
D- date night! I will either get sashimi or a broiled crab cake
Morning JB, I'm in a rush this morning because I just found out our schedule for the day and I realized I don't have much time. I hate last minute rushing, not a good thing for me. The scale has been kind to me, and I'm back to within 1lb of my lowest weight, so all the vacation weight is virtually gone, since this is where I was right before we left.
QOTD: I'm really trying to get back into a routine. I changed gyms, and I've only been to the new one once, so i'm struggling to figure out when I can go. I'm having a hard time motivating in the morning, but I will be going this week at least Monday, Wednesday and Friday when I know my mother in law will be available to watch my kiddo for a few hours.
I've upped my planned calories recently in the hopes that it will curb the compulsive bingeing and so far it seems to be working mostly. Today will be a strange day, since we're going to my moms house for a BBQ and to see my uncle who is in from North Carolina. I just saw him on vacation, but he popped up this weekend unexpectedly and is staying at my moms until tomorrow. He wants as many of my cousins to come visit him as possible. Hoping for a fun day. I'm taking greek salad with chicken breast for myself for lunch, since I want to stay away from the crap.
Plan for the day:
1 year since surgery
B: 1 egg, 1 serving center cut bacon, 1 slice of velveeta on 1 piece of 35 calorie toast. coffee with sugar free creamer
L: greek salad with chicken breast
D: greek salad with chicken breast
S: light and fit greek yogurts, strawberries and grapes, popcorn with butter and turkey and cheese stick roll up
totals
calories 968 protein 116 carbs 77 (damn popcorn) fat 28
this is a lot of food, and I'm struggling that my carbs are a bit higher than I'm used to, but this should keep my eating off of plan in check and 77 carbs is way better than 130 that I would have if I started shovelling the chips and junk at the BBQ.
Have a wonderful Sunday everyone, and i hope that you and Grim have a great time at the Pops. I would love to go to something like that.
I started bringing pork rinds to any gatherings. And I always have to make sure I have more than enough because people actually love them and eat mine... They are great with salsa or guacamole (that I make also) and I really don't feel deprived when others scarfing down chips. Try that.
Too many proteins may turn info to ugars - so you may try exchange 10-30 gr of proteins into 5-15 gr of good fat (i.a avocado, olives) that really helps my cravings more than you would know. (because fat is 9he of calorie and protein is 4 - when exchanging - I use 2:1 ration to stay within my fat calories range)

Good morning. It looks like you had a wonderful time. I love the hats.
My exercise routine is just walking. I try to do four miles daily. Today I decided on Sundays I would just do 2. I can over do it sometimes. I become obsessed to were it is not healthy.
I went to high tea when I was in the Amsterdam it was amazing. I ate a bite of everything.
