I have a date!

I will finally get rid of this stupid bad and revise to bypass on September 23rd. I'm very excited and yet very nervous. I daily go back and forth about the decision. I worry about the surgery itself and all the re-routing. I worry about learning how to deal with head hunger. I worry about loosing hair as my hair is already painfully thin on top. I look forward to having this constant pain from the band gone and getting myself to be as healthy as I possibly can. I've already worked on making sure I exercise at least 4 times a week and have changed many of my eating habits so I'm feeling good about that. I appreciate all I read on this site and all the support people give each other. Here we go.........

Congrats

You will do fine and enjoy getting rid of the band problems.

I too was nervous on my revision, but it opened a new world for me and wish I had found a Dr. years ago that knew how to do this.

Hi, Congrats on your date!!  We have very similar stories. My doc is G.Dean Roye at Miriam Hosp. My band came out 3 years ago. I'm waiting for a date for RnY.

You are so close too! Do you go to any of the support groups locally? That's a mistake I made with the band. I want to make sure I go to the meetings after and throughout the process.

I've attended many throughout this 9+ year journey. My schedule often conflicts with the meetings, I mainly rely on on-line support and support of bypass surgery friends.
