I used to have hairy legs, but it appears it's one of the benefits for me of getting older. In the summer I'll shave once a week for good measure... but in the winter... let's just say I like to keep whatever hair I have left on my legs for extra warmth! hahaha!

I told my mom the other day that she needed to shave and she said I just did yesterday ... I told her she looked like a banana spider so she walked away to go shave again, came back out and asked if that was better.... She was still hairy ... Everyone was cracking up and she showed me her razor.... Crazy woman still had the plastic cap on the darn thing .....

No hair on the legs may be a sign for thyroid deficencies. Next lab work - ask for a full thyroid panel...

Oh, I am definitely Hypothroid... have been for a few years now. Well, I mean I was diagnosed as such a few years ago... now my panels are good.
Of course, just this morning I wondered if my RNY has affected that. I take Synthroid, in the tablet form. I wonder if I should be crushing it up, or up my dosage since we don't absorb as much.
I was going to talk to my Bariatric doc about that in a couple of weeks when I see him... then I'll talk to my PCP when I see him in a couple of months.
Maybe that's when I lost the hair on my legs! Good thing is, the hairloss on my head stopped once I got the thyroid under control, but the legs have stayet pretty sparse! I'll take that!
