This Stinks! UPDATE AT BOTTOM OF ORIGINAL MESSAGE
Initially, warm fluids worked best for me. I drank decaf coffee a lot, and sipped homemade chicken broth with chicken flavored protein powder added in too.
You have no energy because you are drinking, eating or taking your supplements. Take a deep breath and keep looking for things that will work for you.
This is tough, and despite what so many think, WLS isn't a quick fix... this is a process. Don't rush the process, don't expect perfection and take it one step at a time. YOU CAN DO THIS!!!

I used sugar free popsicles a ton early on just to get the liquids in. Give that a shot??

Hey, get you some sugar free popsicles. This is the only thing that saved me. I'm 5 weeks out and my first three weeks I would eat 10 to 12 a day. One individual popsicle is 1.5 oz. of fluid. I don't think I ever get in 64 oz. that is just crazy but I would get pretty close to it. They are a life saver. Make sure they are sugar free.
I thought the same thing- at 5 weeks and 4 days poof I turned a corner. Literally the week before I thought I made the biggest mistake. I wasn't losing anything fast and felt like crap. Homemade chicken broth. Sf Popsicles And jello got me thru. Sipped one premier shake per day. Kept it in the frig and did drive by sippings. Wishing you the best
hello,
I am thinking about getting the gastric bypass surgery done, I need some advice in weather or not I should get it done? How have your outcomes been? Any side effects? how did you feel after you had it done? ANy other information would be very helpful! Some people are tellling me to get it done and others are saying do it and I want to hear from people who actually had it done. Thank you soooo much!!

Hi, Caroline. Please listen to these wonderful people who have had this surgery and are further along than me. I can tell you it's not been very pleasant this first month, but when I read their responses, there will be a time when I will look back and say I am so glad that I did this. I think you will feel the same way if you decide to do the surgery.

I called my surgeon's office yesterday and they told me to push Gatorade this weekend. If I am still feeling as bad or worse, then I am to go to the ER. I am trying to drink the Gatorade even though I am not a fan but I was able to find one that doesn't taste too bad at room temperature. I am going to try to get on track this weekend. Thanks again everyone for your encouragement.
