Pre-Surgery Vitamins

Less than 2 weeks to surgery, and I am not sure if I am supposed to stop taking vitamins. Only taking the Centrum multivitamin Chewable. Supposed to start the others post surg, but not sure on the multi before surg.

Check with your surgeon's office. I think it was a week before surgery I was supposed to stop.

I was told to stop the multi-vitamin while on Optifast.

I never took vitamins pre surgery. I did take medications, I was on two for high blood pressure. I was told to take all meds right up to the night before surgery. I had an 8am surgery on a Friday and had to be NPO (Nothing by mouth) from 8pm the night before surgery but otherwise they told me to take everything as usual. But do call your centre and clarify. All the centres are different. Good luck!!
