What's on Your Wednesday Menu, RNYers?
I'm so glad I don't work anymore. However one of my food pantry volunteers drives me insane because she always has to question every decision I make. I can't complain too much though as I only have hubby and 2 other older ladies who help me. We provided food to 57 families last month for a total of 181 people. This is with no government money only private donations. Need is going up so drastically my next job is to send some letters and doing some fundraising so we can keep going. Post op 47 months and weight at 117.2 today. Lily and I did 2.2 miles at the park today and I will do another mile while my clothes are in the washer. I'll also walk up to church and home for a meeting tonight--about another 1.75 miles. That's the moving for today. Here's the eats B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L 31/2 oz chicken 1/2 c green beans D 1 scrambled egg with cheese and piece of ham S mission one cookies and cream protein bar. Have a great day everyone and make some amazing choices!
Thank you for doing the food pantry work, I try to pay forward as I can and am anxious for the day that I am able to give more time.
I'm not sure how far you are from here, but check out the Chrome Angelz ladies motorcycle club. I am a member in Kentucky, and we are always looking to help out any way we can. We do benefit rides all the time. If this chapter isn't close enough, seek out other motorcycle clubs... I promise you, they won't let you down. I was raised in the biker community, and my dad is very active in several organizations, and now I am too. There's no better feeling than doing something good to give back to those who have given to you. Here is the info I have on the Illinois Chrome Angelz chapter:

Lord, please keep Nina safe. We do not want our beloved Kristen being charged with assault and/or second degree murder.
I threw out half a "carton" of Whoppers this morning. For some reason my hubby bought a box for the baby. The baby who doesn't like malted milk balls. But momma LOVES those little balls of tasty goodness. I had been doing really well the last few days, and then yesterday I caved and had some Whoppers. That just sent me into a feeding frenzy. My day didn't end well, lol. I woke up this morning thinking about the chocolate. So, first thing I did this morning before making my coffee was throw the container in the trash. Then I thought better of it and dumped the candy out of the box and onto the old icky coffee grounds and schmutz that was in the trash can.
THEN, I toasted a bagel and slathered it in cream cheese for breakfast.... so yeah. I will be throwing those out here in a moment too.
CQOTD: I am not currently working outside of the home, so I will answer in two parts. When I was working, I hated passive aggressive snark remarks from my coworker. There was one in particular that would get a bug up her ass and just walk around with backhanded comments. I could never actually take offense, because it was blatant, but you could tell by her attitude that she was being a snarky ***** Worst part of that was that it wasn't all of the time, it was just occasionally, so most of the time I liked her, but then once a month or so she'd get a real bug up her ass. Thank goodness I don't have to deal with that anymore. As for being at home, the most irritating thing that I'm dealing with right now is my hubby being wishy washy about talking to me when things are bothering him. if he is stressed about money, or anything, I really need him to talk to me instead of holding it in and then getting so frustrated that he gets overwhelmed. I'll be working on it with him.
My 1 year surgiversary is tomorrow

Good Morning AV and Menu Folks. I had an interesting intervention yesterday at good ol Walmart. My youngest son and I were walking towards the entrance when we could hear a horn honking and noticed an elderly female waiting for a van to back out of a handicap parking spot. There was a van behind this elderly driver that kept honking at her, now the van in the handicap spot backs out and the elderly lady tries to pull in when a rough looking guy from the van behind her gets in the middle of the parking spot and tells this little old lady, go ahead and hit me, I am not moving , this is our parking spot. I stopped, turned and walk towards this guy and told him to give her the parking spot, now. I was livid, but I kept my voice calm, yet firm. I did not know if this guy would come at me, he ended up moving and walking away from me and hollered " you get in the store you and mind your business", the van with his family pulled up and he continued to mutter as they moved along looking for another parking spot. I could NOT believe someone would do this to a an elderly person, let alone an elderly female that was alone. My son was nervous, but also understood that I had to intervene. Not looking for a pat on the back, just wanted to point out that we all need to get involved and do the right thing when we see something that is not right.
