Official one-month post-op appointment in the books!
My surgery was 6/14, but yesterday was what they considered to be my one month post-op visit. I was down 21 pounds from my last visit, when I got my staples out, for a total of 37 pounds since surgery. I told him I was shooting for 25 pounds instead of 21, and he said "go home and poop!' Yep, he made me laugh out loud. He thinks I'm doing well so far, although I told him that my energy level is next to zero. They drew labs and I just called and it looks like I may be deficient in Vitamin D, but everything else looked good. He told me not to be too hard on myself because I'm probably doing more than I realize and I am technically still recovering from major surgery. So, at this point, I guess I'll take that as I'm doing okay for now. Hopefully I'll feel better soon.

Thank you all so much for the encouraging words, they really help in this process. I'm putting forth extra effort today, as I'm afraid I've been getting too many carbs, not staying under 30, as I believe I should at this point. I know the honeymoon phase won't last forever, and I really do want to make the best of it while I can!
