I just use reduced sugar ketchup and prepared horseradish, which you can usually pick up in the meat department at most grocery stores.  I like mine extra spicy, so I just plop a spoonful in and then add more if it's not enough.  I'm sure there is more to it if you buy it premade, but I like it just like that.

Good Morning Everyone!

I had a sleep study done once and need to have another one done because I sleep WAY too much!  I second what Anny Bananny said about having to call the nurse to get up and pee and all the wires.

QOTD:  I LOVE ice water and drink a LOT of it.  I drink a couple cups of coffee in the morning and then water, water, water the rest of the day.  We are on well water and the water here tastes delicious!  I have a huge water jug and fill it up several times a day.

Yesterday I ate:  A Clif protein bar, a scrambled egg, egg salad, moon cheese, Oikos yogurt, some cheese & meat toppings off a pizza, 1/2 cup frozen yogurt and a Clif protein bar.

I have had a sleep study- had to go twice. once for the mask to see if i needed it- slept terrible in the darn thing with all the tubes everywhere. then the second time to check my level to know what to set it at. i have mild sleep apnea- my titration is set at 7 which is pretty low- after surgery i turned in my stuff because silly me thought i didn't need it anymore and surgeon agreed. fast forward a month or so- not sleeping well- so I asked for it back- of course not they said- you have to have another sleep study which costs me 1500 out of pocket due to not meeting my deductible yet. so I ended up shelling out $400 for a refurbished unit instead and use that.

I don't use it every night- more like several times a week. and so far not traveling with it either.

QOTD: my favorite is decaf coffee - right now I'm having cost plus world market turtle caramel decaf and carbmaster milk and miralax and splenda, my next favorite is decaf teas- all kinds but I do like the teavana/starbucks mighty mint and peach whatever its called. also celestial seasonings makes a herbal called bengal tiger and it is soooo yummy. After I eat I put on the teapot, gives me time to prepare to drink after I eat. It has become habit because I have learned the hard way to always have a drink in my hand. for other liquids I prefer powerade zero over g2, and both over plain water.

we are going to see bourne tonight at the theatre - att was doing a special BOGO promo if you are a customer. so both of us are going for less than $10. We almost decided on star trek but maybe next time. Leaving for beach on Sunday.

Here is what I ate yesterday:

S:tilapia/jennie o turkey stick/carbmaster yogurt/reddi whip

'Morning, AV and menu peeps.

AV, I haven't had a sleep study done. I take 3 mg of melatonin every night; I have for years. It doesn't make you "sleepy", but I think it's a great alternative to Ambien and other sleep aids. I've heard of some crrraaazy **** happening to people while taking Ambien. 

QOTD: My preferred drinks are coffee ( both hot and iced ****d tea with Splenda or water. I can drink coolish water or I can drink it cold. If I have hot tea, it's got to be "fancy" tea. ( Earl Grey, Chai, yada, yada, yada. )

Planned menu for today

3+ years out: That still gets me some days. I had RNY...and it's been YEARS. Trippy. 

B: coffee and trimmings, yogurt with protein powder 

S: cheese stick, pepperoni 

L: up in the air. I'm moving my daughter down to Columbia, SC today.  ( "Permanently" she says. Eye roll, I do. ) She's got her first grown up apartment complete with room mates. Sigh. 

D: Not sure, probably something easy like tacos-innards only for me. It's Tuesday, so that works out! Taco Tuesday!

Where has the time Gone? It's been 4 years for me on the 29th and it seems like just yesterday to me.  My hubby says I'm a coffee snob. He likes just plain coffee. My current collection: toffee pecan,mud pie,pumpkin spice,apple pie,salted caramel,caramel hideaway,blueberry muffin,decaf apple pie,decaf coconut cream pie,decaf vanilla creme Brule. That might not be all but all I can remember. I love variety every morning. Normally I drink one cup of regular and rest is decaf.

The little town where I grew up has a small coffee shop and they do their own small batch roasting. They will do decaf in just about any flavor they do in regular as well. A bit pricy but since I save money on food now I splurge on coffee!
