What's On Your Tuesday Menu, RNYers?
It is going well. I thought I would like immediately GAIN GAIN GAIN just from the increased carbs alone. But I stayed the same the first 3 days, then dropped 2 lbs (still in my maintenance weight though), so I will keep at it and see how it continues to go.
Gloomy day here in Illinois and it's spitting rain as well. Lily has decided she only wants to walk one mile now. Not sure if she is just bored or having joint pain but her energy levels seem fine. I did one mile at the park with her and then brought her home and fed her. Then headed back up myself and did one more mile and walked home. Different plan but same distance--3.2 miles. I'll do another 1.5 after supper when I walk up to church for class and back home. Cutting back some on the evening walk as I had been doing about another 3 miles but started losing weight. Post op 47 months and weight at 117.4--bottom bottom of a normal bmi. My favorite beverage is pumpkin spice coffee but I also love water with Welch's strawberry peach drink mix added. I've only ever found this flavor in our local Dollar General, but it is very summery tasting and reminds me of fresh peaches. Here's the eats for today B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L 31/2 oz smoked turkey 1/2 c green beans D 31/2 oz pulled pork with 1/2 c zucchini zoodles with garlic and herbs S mission one chocolate brownie protein bar. Have a great day everyone and make some amazing choices!
I read this post daily but rarely post. Need to get into the routine. I had a sleep study as a pre-op requirement (home study at first, followed by a clinic study) - resulted in a CPAP. I know a lot of folks do fantastic with the CPAP, but I absolutely hate it. I've been using it for about 5 months and still can't get used to it. Just did another home study in hopes of being able to get rid of it since I've lost about 50 lbs. since I started. Still waiting for the results.
QOTD: Plain ole water has always been my beverage of choice. I have become addicted to my glass of Turkey Hill orange decaf diet iced tea in the evening though. It has become my sweet treat.
B: Decaf coffee w/a scoop of vanilla protein powder
S: GNC Chocolate Fudge Lean Shake (don't like shakes, but still not getting enough protein without it)
L: Light n Fit Greek chocolate rasberry w/ 1/4 scoop Unjury unflavored protein
D: 2-3 oz. grilled chicken and 1 oz. grilled zucchini
