Thanks for worrying about me. It makes me feel so much better. I think I feel kind of committed now.

I used to LOVE water. Since my surgery, water is not my friend unless I use a flavoring of some form.

My doctor said, its fine to use flavoring as long as I'm getting my water intake in.

I drank a crap ton of ice water pre surgery.  Post surgery cold ice water killed me!! I wanted to die. It hurt and it tasted "off".

You are almost 3 months post op and by around your time for me post op I was drinking decaf tea, like a hot green tea, decaf coffee and watered down apple juice, and sugar free cranberry juice watered down, like half & half.

I am 2 yrs & 9 months post op and plain water still does not still well, I can drink it but its not the same.  Now I drink a lot of coffee, a lot of tea, and 3/4 water with 1/4 SF cranberry juice.  Or what I love in restaurants is ice water with a big wedge of lemon which I squeeze the heck out of!  I don't like the MIO or Crystal Light flavorings, they give me cankers in my mouth for some reason!

I tend not to drink pop, it was not something I drank pre surgery.  Only time now is if hubby has a big glass of cold coke with ice or his latest thing is Dr. Pepper.  I will take a sip and then I usually have a huge burp and then I am done, all I want is a sip.

So weird how some things change so much post surgery.  So plain water, no still not a fan at almost 3 year post op.

I have never liked water, before and now.  Blech is right.  Even on the hottest days (and it's been over 100 here in Northern Calif for the last few weeks)  I have a cup of hot tea or four.  I am a transplanted Brit and I was raised on tea.   I still have it with non fat milk but I did give up the sugar.
