New NSV!
So, back in April I had a DEXA scan. at that scan I weighed 176lbs and had a body fat percentage of 32.9%. This morning I had a free session with a personal trainer that came with my gym membership. The gym has a InBody scale, that does body composition analysis. This scale isn't like the ones that you can buy, it was huge and hand these strange handles so it gets a more detailed reading for the whole body. So, before my weight gain of last week, I had gotten down to 162lbs. But this morning, with my gym clothes (sans shoes) I weight 170.6. This scale said that my BFP is 29.9%, which makes me very happy! I believe that this is off a bit, but I'm encouraged.
I plan on scheduling another DEXA for later this month. I'm excited to see what I can get down to before my 1 year follow up with my surgeon on August 17th.
What really shocked me was the analysis of my muscle mass per limb. The trainer was also surprised, because although I spent maony years heavy, my legs are a bit behind my upper body in terms of muscle mass. He suggest working on them to build the mass up a bit.
Here is a pic of the analysis sheet. On my original DEXA, my lean body mass was 117lbs, this shows it as 119.5lbs. so essentially I've gained 2+ pounds of muscle mass since April 20th.
