Medication dosage question
hi guys!
So im down 87lbs now and just realized that maybe some of my med dosages might be off. I'm on an antidepressant (Citalopram, 40mg) and a mood stabilizer (Lamictal, 200mg) I am going thru some personal issues and realized I have not shed a single tear over any of it. I am concerned my med dosages are too high. Did anyone else have this problem?

weight is not taken into account for these meds.
Congrats on the amazing weight loss WOW 87 lbs. Excellent you are doing amazing.
From what i understand most pain med dosages are prescribed based on body weight but I don't know about antidepressants and such. I would suggest consulting your doctor to evaluate your current dosages. Extra body fat increases levels of estrogen and testosterone and these levels drop quite a bit when we loss weight which can put us on quite the emotional roller coaster. For the past few months you have been through a lot of changes.
Sorry to hear you are going through these personal issues and wish you the best.
Keep up the amazing work with your journey to a healthier happier life style.
Best wishes.
Thank you so much! I will definitely call my Dr Monday. It is definitely a roller coaster ride and I have dealt with it fine, apparently too fine lol! I just feel nothing which is bad. Anyway, I appreciate your input... I never knew about the estrogen and testosterone, it makes sense. Thank you!
