question about bloodwork results
so I agree it is best to seek advice of a professional...will be going to see a hematologist as soon as blood work gets faxed to them. The dr didn't call...an assistant did and it was painful enough to just get the glucose, iron and ferritin readings out of her...so I'll get a copy of all the results to take the to dr. but yeah, grim, I need to stop it. It's not everyday but evidently enough...

I had a Ferritin level was 11.8 ( 7 years post RNY) and bariatric surgeon had me double my iron and recheck in 3 months. It went down to 10.8 - my iron stores were very low and taking iron supplements did not help at all.
I had an iron infusion and one month later my ferritin was 202.2. It has gone down each 3 months since then, but I'm still doing OK, although I will need to have more iron infusions in the future.
It is painless and takes a couple of hours. An inconvenience but what a blessing we have access to such things.
Wishing you well,
