softgels vitamin

Can RNY take softgels?

Maybe they will work and maybe there will not be enough acid in the stomach to dissolve them and they will come out whole.  My surgeon advised me to first pierce them with a pin and then take with warm water.

Thanks for the reply. I bought a bottle of vit D3 without reading it real good so I will try to take it back.
