This weekend should be nice, the weather is supposed to be nice, or so my husband tells me anyway. We have a free hazardous waste disposal thing with the city on Saturday, which is good because the douchebags that lived in our house before we bought left a HUGE cabinet in our basement FULL of old paint and varnish cans! Jerks. Not even mentioning all the other **** they left behind!
Anyway, my parents are taking the boys saturday during the day AND over night saturday night. We dont have any plans, but getting a break sounds lovely! I want to go hiking, somewhere we couldnt take the boys!!
QOTD: I really like my feet. Even when I was SMO, I still liked my feet! I have a tattoo on one foot that I LOVE, and will get the other foot done when I am not poor! LOL

Good morning,
AV so glad you had fun yesterday and I'm sure your son was glad to have you along. Treasure this time because in a couple of years he would much rather you weren't tagging along.
So I got my new boot last night, after dealing with idiots who do not understand how my insurance plan works. Every place I called wanted the money up front, with my plan I have a card that explains how the process works, Provider bills BC/BS, they in turn bill Partners Health Care, which sends me statement and lets me know what I owe. But when they look at my plan they see the huge copayment (which my employer pays 3/4 of) they get scared that they won't get paid. This was just the last straw for me, this whole thing should have been over and done with by now and I was so frustrated, I actually lost it at work yesterday, ran to the ladies room and had a good cry for myself. I'm surprised it hadn't happened before. Anyway, I am done with my kvetching and will not speak of it anymore.
I have no big plans for the weekend, just housework and laundry and I need a manicure. I need the rest, the past two weeks I've been up late watching the conventions, I am exhausted today, but could not resist staying up to watch history being made last night.
QOTD: I think my best feature is my eyes, they are very expressive, you can tell if I'm happy, sad or angry, sometimes it's not a good thing though. Also, they change colors according to what I am wearing, sometimes they are blue, sometimes green and even gray.
Time since surgery: 15 months
B: 1 egg, 1 turkey sausage patty, 1 slice whole wheat bread
S: Premier Protein Shake
L: Steak, 1/2 tray Sargento balanced breaks, gouda, cranberries & peanuts
D: Chicken, green beans
S: Dannon L&F Greek
Cals: 867, Carbs: 44. Protein: 95, Fat 28
Good morning! Glad to hear you were at the park, AV, and not sick. I think we all forgot about your trip.
QOTD: My hair has always been my favorite feature. It is chestnut coloured (not really red or auburn) with natural strawberry blond stripes in it. Even though I'm over 60, it has retained fair bit of colour, and has developed a wave after being stick-straight for the first five decades. I love the body the wave gives it. I used to wear my hair long (almost to my waist) and in many different styles, but it is thinner now, so I wear it in a simple jaw-length bob that is really easy to maintain and seems flattering.
I did a marathon shop yesterday, and bought 3 new tops, two pairs of shoes that fit, a day pack and a handbag - Winners was having a clearance sale and most of the items I bought were 85-90% off. Reitmans also had some excellent clearance items - I found a lined navy rain jacket with hood marked down to $17.50. I just love a good sale!
B: yogurt
L: salmon and avocado
D: chicken with garlic and ginger, and probably zucchini
S: blueberries, chicken nibblers
Happy Friday and enjoy your weekend (it's a long weekend in Ontario)!
