What's on Your Wednesday Menu, RNYers?

Kind of late to the game today, but when I jumped on to see what y'all were eating today and saw the posts about the Quest bars... YIKES! That may explain some things! I was looking sooo forward to shrimp jambalaya the other night... I've had a real craving for shrimp lately. Anywho, after work I ate 1/2 a mint chocolate quest bar... by dinnertime, my tummy was making a lot of noise and I didn't feel quite right. I skipped the jambalaya, just in case and had my stand by of chicken lunchmeat and munster cheese. And shortly after I finished, I had horrible rolling and gas and... well, any more would be TMI. Let's just say that I was not in a good place.

I hadn't thought too much about it, but it was my first Quest bar. I guess I'll toss the others

you could maybe do 1/4 of a bar at a time- if you need a snack

but they make my stomach make all kinds of noise and the farts are bad with them.

I have a big issue with the Quest bars too. Sugar alcohols do me in every time. I eat the mission 1 clean protein bars because they have no sugar alcohols. They don't keep me feeling full for a meal but work well for a bedtime snack. Made it back from camping this afternoon to find out we had storms while we were gone and hubby's computer was fried. Seems to be the only thing bothered though. We had fun camping and hiking even though it was a bit warmer. Sunday night we had lots of lightening up there but no rain. Lily and I walked and walked every day too. Food today has been uninspired as I don't feel like eating because of the heat. B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L 31/2oz deli ham and cheese 1/2 c green beans D 31/2 oz pulled pork 1/2 c green beans S mission one chocolate brownie protein bar. Lily and I did 31/2 miles this am and I will do another 1.5 miles in a bit as the sun starts to go down. Really hated to come back home but had to as we have food pantry tomorrow morning. Looking forward to our next trip,possibly in a couple weeks!
