Hi Everyone
Sorry, I have been so busy had not had time to stop by. AV, years ago I had this happen and OMG, I had a waste basket in my lap as my husband was driving me to the ER. It's awful and debilitating. I had an inner ear thing and with meds it finally went away. Would not wi**** on my worst enemy. Glad you are better....
This RNY girl is not logging her food, bad Kathy, bad, bad Kathy but the scale is going down S L O W L Y! I'll take it.
I keep eating pop secret at night and that is doing me in. I tell myself I won't buy anymore but for some reason that damn cart in Costco is like the Tesla cars, it just drives right to the isle and the bag just jumps in the cart. What is a girl to do?
Hugs to you all and keep up the GREAT JOB eating everyone

I had a bout with vertigo once, it's very unsettling! I hope you are on the mend and don't go through that again!
I took my kids in for their sports physical this morning... went in with the girl child first, she's 16, and she smiled and talked with the doctor, and was very pleasant. Then I took the boy child in... he's 14. He sat there, all slumped over, barely spoke, and had a scowl on his face the entire time. When they were younger, he was the social child, always full of smiles and talked everyone's ear off... is this just a phase of a teenage boy???
QOTD: I'm 5'5" tall, even if the RNY nurse measured me at 5'4 1/2" tall... I think she was wrong. I was measured not that long ago, and was 5'5" just as always, Hmph. I wear an 8.5 - 9, but mostly 9's right now. I wonder if that will change with more weight loss...
Weighed in at 207.4 this morning... Yesterday I ate:
B: Shake
L: a little hummus and a couple of the pretzels that came with it, and 1/2 cheese stick. I barely at any of the sabra hummus snack container though... I think I've finally had my fill of hummus... and I threw away the pretzels, because they tasted too good, and I know better!
D: about 1/2 ounce of chicken thigh, and 2T of black eyed peas
S: Shake
I am beginning to wonder why I even bother to eat... I mean I can only have such SMALL amounts of stuff it sometimes just seems like a waste of time... I guess one day, I'll be able to at least eat 1/2C of food and all of this will just be practice for that time. No regrets, but just tired of the itty bitty amount I can get down without getting sick.

OMG, I know I'm a revision from VSG and my surgeon isn't worried, but when I see this I start to doubt myself. my surgery was 1.5-2 months after you and I can eat SIGNIFICANTLY more than you. I haven't had any chicken yet, so I'm not sure about that, but 3 oz of salmon is no problem for me. I can easily consume 1/2 a cup of food at a time (I get that I'm still on softs/purees and it might change) but man, do I feel piggy when I compare my menu to this.
I'm 3 months out and capable of (and was directed to) have 1 cup of food, 3x a day, starting at about 4 weeks out.
Some of our pouches are bigger than others.

I think ya'll are more normal than me... I HATE that I can't eat a certain amount and feel confident I'm not going to have that full feeling/ food coming back up into my esophagus, for 4-5 hours afterwards... THAT is not normal.
I'll talk to my doctor about it at my follow up appointment in a couple of weeks...
I want to eat with confidence - even if it is just a 1/2 cup!

Regarding your son, yes I think it is the young teen boy stage! I have a 14 boy, and 14 yr old nephews, and it is definitely trending right now! I also have an 18 yr old son, and he is charming. So I try to keep reminding myself that it is just a stage. Hoping it does not stick.
I'm really ready to see my charismatic funny full of laughter son again!
