Good morning!
QOTD: I prefer real books. I love how they feel in my hands. Buying books is a weakness for me, especially children's' books. But honestly, I do more reading now on my iPad, and listening to recorded books.
Please take a look at my NSV post that I put up a few hours ago! Lots of photos.
i have become less mindful about my eating in the past 5 weeks. And, less peaceful now that I am home--vacation does not take away the bills to pay and other work--the weeds grow bigger, the paper piles grow bigger, etc. So I have a lot of catch up on and do now, especially as the back to school season is near, and as I help my 18 son get outfitted for his upcoming adventures.
My general goals for today: (1) return to mindful eating by always sitting down to eat. (2) strive to find the place of peace and centered-ness that nourishes me without food (hello again to my meditation images of channeling Mother Earth). (3) knock out the 3 biggest stresses on my to do list--no avoidance!--just do it--"done is better than perfect"--and all that!
That sounds a little bit hippie-meets-MBA, I think.
Time since surgery (when did we start that in the posts?): 19 mos

L: Fage Greek yogurt with fresh apricots and tsp blueberry preserves
D: hamburger patty, roasted summer squash, watermelon.

Good morning! I feel blah this morning. My daughter's having relationship troubles and I'm very worried about her. Just have to push through and be there for her. I'm not sure what's on the go today. Maybe we'll go bike riding, although it's still pretty warm here. QOTD : I read on my phone a lot. It's a bigger phone so it's nice and convenient. Although I still prefer a book when I'm home.

S- 1/2 cup cottage cheese
D- Baked ham and roasted red peppers
S - 1/2 cup cherries, 27 roasted almonds
