Slow weight loss

I think 30 pounds is a good amount-

check my loss in my signature below- you are losing about 12 pounds a month?

My calories are not over 800, protein high, carbs under 50 grams.

Are you tracking what you are eating in an app and weighing everything?

I wouldn't increase calories, not doing you any good.

Can you post your menu on what you are eating?

I have the same thoughts, but even though the scale is not going very fast, my cloths keep getting a little looser.

I am keeping my protein at 100 grams a day, and carbs about 30, with total overall calories about 800.

I am of course looking for the scale to get much lower sooner. I love to ride road bicycles, and extra weight just makes it a little harder.

But that is my anxiousness, and not a real problem, because I also feel stronger and have more energy each week.

Hang in there to the plan.

I'm right there with you.  It's extremely frustrating.  I'm 7 1/2 weeks out and as of today only down 21 lbs. since surgery.  But then again I did loose 50 in the 7 mo. process prior to surgery.  I just thought it would be a little faster at least in the beginning.  I always get at least 64 oz. fluid, usually more, 60-70 g protein and daily calories range between 500-550.

When I had my first WLS 23 years ago, I was soooo much younger, and lost 230 lbs. in 1 year time.

I need to remember that now that I am ancient and yoyo'd so much since, that weight loss will be slower, but is loss, and no longer gain.

often people who lost a lot of weight pre-op lose more slowly.  I'm guessing because at least some of that initial drop lots of people experience that first month is "water weight".  Any "water weight" you had was long gone before you had surgery....

Met with my Nutritionist and she said slow and steady is the way to go. I am losing between 2 to 3 pounds a week and happy with that.

2 to 3 pounds a week is not slow! After the first month or so, that's as fast as anyone can reasonably expect to lose.
