What's on Your (photo) Friday Menu, RNYers?
Good Morning and welcome to Photo Friday! Post 'em if ya got 'em!
We made it to the weekend, you guys. Huzzah! My weekend is shaping up to be pretty damn awesome what with my kid's All Star game and the HOF trip to Cooperstown. What's everybody else got goin' on? I know Daisy and her hubs are meeting up with the Grims, but what about the rest of you?
QOTD! You're on the road, you're starving, your protein stash is depleted...what do you do? What do you do?! LOL I would probably stop at a convenience store or something for a bag of beef jerky. Or Wendy's, which is where I'm headed today for lunch. Yum.
Time since surgery: 2 years, 5 days
B: HB egg and a string cheese. This is my last string cheese, and I'm not buying any more for a while. I'm burned out. I need to get a different kind of cheese...mozzarella maybe?
S: 1/2 Premier Protein chocolate peanut butter bar
L: small chili and a 4-piece nugget
D: STEAK. I've been craving red meat and this will do nicely. I'll top with bleu cheese crumbles and have a side salad of tomatoes and cukes. Noms.
TOTALS: Cals: 875 Protein: 78 (meh) Carbs: 40 Fat: 45
Have a great day and make good choices!
My weekend, well I know that today is CRAZY for me. Getting the teenager to her farm job, so I have to leave work for a bit, then need to register her with her new school and get her immunization records. THEN she is testing for her brown sash in Kung ****he is already a black belt in karate), then go to camp for a family get together (which I need to bring something...umm yeah WHEN will I do that??), then pick her up from testing. YIKES!! I know we have plans for the weekend, I just cant remember what they are! LOL
QOTD: Well...ummm...huh. I guess I would try and find a grocery store. If not, a convenience store would do I guess, but then I would probably get something like trail mix...which I would then eat the whole bag and feel horrible after! LOL Just being honest here
15+ months since surgery
M1: My regular protein shake.
Ummm that's all I have so far. Lots of running around today.
The AC at work is always set to "arctic", this pictures shows how I feel about that!
Wow, that's quite a day you have there! Make sure you take a moment here and there to catch your breath and just be.
I love those glasses! Hope your daughter passes her brown sash! What an accomplishment!

Good morning Kristen! I saw a billboard this morning on the interstate and SO wanted to take a pic for you, but I was driving. It said: Your wife is hot: fix the AC. Ha!
My weekend is going to be fab, so excited! Tonight I am dropping my son and his gf at the movies, and my two youngest and I are going shoe shopping for my big kindergartener. School starts here next Thursday, so gotta get this stuff wrapped up. Saturday Jason and I are going to Indy to see Jim Gaffigan and stay overnight sans kiddos. Then Sunday, we will head home and watch Jeff play basketball.
QOTD: Lots of convenience stores have hardboiled eggs and cheese now, I would probably do that. Or find a chick fila and get grilled nuggets. They are on my menu today!
B- triple zero yogurt and irish tea w/SF creamer
L- unsure, going out with boss
D- chick fila grilled nuggets (4)
S- protein shake
Totals- cals 395 without lunch, will be closer to 600 I'm guessing. protein-56 without lunch, carbs-27 without lunch, fat 8 without lunch. Maybe I will have steak for lunch that would be decadent haha.
**One more thing: I am pissed about this gaining weight thing. I haven't eaten ONE THING off plan since surgery (5/2) except last Saturday at the movies when I had about a cup of popcorn. I'm up 2 pounds this week. Maybe hormonal? I know I'm not drinking enough water, but did a search here and saw that some people don't think water intake contributes that much to weight loss anyway. Just frustrated. I know it's probably just a stall, but I DON'T LIKE IT! Rant over I guess.

HA! That billboard is awesome. It was already 77 degrees when I got to work at 7:30, so yeah. Also? I'm completely jealous that you're seeing Jim Gaffigan. He is the funniest, for real!
As for the weight loss, it's super frustrating to not see consistent losses, but it's also normal. We know that weight loss isn't linear, it's a stair step, blah blah blah, but it doesn't mean we can't complain about it. LOL You're doing great!
My weekend plans include laundry and packing the camper for a trip to Jimmy Edgar state park on Sunday. I'll be MIA through Wednesday early evening but know that Lily and I will be walking and walking and walking those days. Lily and I got our 3.2 miles in early with Mother Nature's cooperation. It looked like it could storm at any moment but held off until we were done. It is raining now though. Post op about 47 months and weight at 119.2 today. I will do another 1.5 miles after supper tonight if it's not raining. My evening walk is a shorter distance but a faster pace because Lily isn't there to stop and sniff around. Here's the eats for the day B1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L 31/2oz deli ham and cheese 1/2 c green beans D 31/2 oz tuna grilled 1/2 c roasted garbanzo beans S mission 1 cookies and cream protein bar. Have a good weekend everyone and I'll see you Wednesday afternoon. Make some smart Choices! Bad selfie to follow!
