Good Morning Everyone!  It's going to be really hot here in Nebraska, too, today!

QOTD:  I sleep really well, due to medications for a sleep disorder (restless limb syndrome).  I usually go to bed around 10:30 or 11 pm after taking my pills, vitamins and supplements, with Tippy, my chihuahua snuggled up with me.  I sleep well, but usually wake up around 6:30 or 7 am.  I am sleepy a lot and usually take a nap during the day.

What I ate yesterday was:  A Clif protein bar, chili, a small hamburger patty, cooked carrots, 2 string cheese sticks and a Clif protein bar.  Today will probably be somewhat similar.

Have a wonderful day everyone!

Hi peeps!  Hotter than a firecracker here too!! I like sun and I like hot but humid has got to go!!!  Seriously AV AC units have come a long long way could you not get one of those portable ones?  You need a medal for not having AC!

I don't sleep well either, I am not the one to ask. I have always been a bad sleeper, even from the time I was a kid. Since surgery it has gotten worse. I too go to bed tired, fall asleep pretty fast but wake up in the middle of the night all the time.  But I am to blame. I do it to myself, I keep crappy hours, don't even remotely have a "get ready for bed routine" and I fall asleep on the couch a lot in the evenings.

QOTD: I was told by my Naturopath a few years ago to develop a sleep routine and this is what she said (not that I follow it but this was her advice).  Have the bedroom cold & dark.  Two hours before I want to go to sleep shut down all electronics, no TV, no cell phones, no computers, no tablets.  If I want to read, don't do in bed, the bed/bedroom is for sleeping only (no comments from Grim here LOL LOL). Don't drink caffeine 2-3 hours before bed.  Mentally start to shut my mind down a few hours before bed. If I am dealing with a work or personal problem, let myself think about it and then park it away and don't think about it until the next day.  Do some light stretches/yoga and a few deep breaths.  Soooooo try all those LOL LOL Personally Nyquil ZZZZZZ and Sleep-eze are my BFFs. I use the Sleep-eze the most, no next day hangover.  Good luck AV, not sleeping sucks.

B: 1.2 toasted sesame bagel with egg & swiss cheese (left house early and grabbed this on the go)

L: chicken shawarma!!

D: 2 scrambled eggs & 2 oz of turkey kielbasa grilled

S: 3 oz of marble cheese, cut of cucumbers & grape tomatoes

TOTALS: 915 calories, 95 protein, 33 carbs, 46 fat

E: errands at lunch

vits done/calcium on alarms/coffee/tevanna peach tea/ice water with SF cranberry juice

Dropping my dogs off this evening at the dog boarders, going to miss them so much in the next 24 hours, the house is so empty when they are not there!  We leave tomorrow night to go to Boston! JB & Grim I hope you two know what you got yourselves into with these two crazy Canadians coming down! LOL

Have an awesome day everyone!

DAISY!  You and Arun and The Grims were going to come to Syracuse for a Syracuse Chiefs/Boston Paw Sox game and we were all going to get together and have a big group hug and watch baseball and drink beer.  Wait...maybe the beer was just me.

Good morning everyone! I have been MIA, between moving and working, moving in July is THE WORST.  Funny you mention the AC thing, Kristen, I have been FREEZING for the past month.  It's 100 degrees in Nevada, and I have the heater cranking in my office, my colleagues think I'm nuts, but I can't seem to get warm.  Unless I'm dragging a bed and boxes upstairs.  I hope that you get the AC thing sorted though, I'd much rather be too cold than too hot.

I can't wait to find my scale in my mountain of boxes, I have a hunch I lost a chunk of weight, I haven't weighed in a while, and my clothes are falling off of me.

QOTD: My bedtime routine, I don't really have one, but I sleep pretty well, especially since I've started losing weight.  I'm in bed pretty early, about 10, and I get REALLY cranky if I have to stay up much later than that.  Do you think maybe not having the AC is one of the reasons you may not be sleeping well?  I know I sleep so much better when I am cold and have to get all bundled up,  I always sleep like crap when I'm too hot.

I have to get better about posting on here, I have made some questionable choices this weekend while moving and it's time to get back on track.  Like the bite of Pizookie I had this weekend (first real chocolate I have had post op, but it made me feel awful, so I won't be doing the again)

B: cashews and cheese

L: turkey salad

D: watermelon and feta salad

S: beef jerky or yogurt

Everyone have a wonderful day!

The nights have been pretty cool, and I have a fan going at night as well.  Mostly for the white noise, but it does a good job circulating the air, too.  Ugh.
