I always wake up at night too so I'm not one to ask for sleeping tips. In fact like you I tend to wake up ato about 2 or 230. It's even worse if I don't get to exercise that day. Then I'll be awake most of the night. Uber hot here in Illinois again. This is two weeks in a row for heat warnings for us. Post op almost 47 months and weight at 119.6 today. Lily and I didn't get our long walk in yesterday due to rain but we've already finished early this morning. With this heat we head out about 530 or its too hard on her and I both. I'll do another 11/2 miles this evening after the sun goes down. Here's the food for the day B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L 31/2oz deli turkey and cheese rollups 1/2 c green beans D 31/2oz ribeye 1/2 c green beans S mission one chocolate brownie protein bar. Not sleeping is seriously Hell, I am sorry! I have no suggestions as I have always been a crappy sleeper! I have a script for ambien that I take when I NEED SLEEP NOW.
I had to fight my brain REALLY HARD this morning. So the scale will not budge, I am 6.6 lbs over my goal, I am kind of sort of ok with a 5 lbs "cushion". I have been SOOOOO GOOD with no binging and my carb numbers have been awesome. I guess my calories are just too high still. ugh So back to the fighting my brain part....I REALLY want to force myself to just drink shakes until the weight is gone, but I am going to try and eat real food and see how it goes.
15+ months since surgery
M1: 4oz Fairlife skim milk, 1 scoop Syntrax milk chocolate w/ lots of ice
M2: 4oz Jennie-o honey cured deli turkey, 1 light string cheese, wrapped in romaine leaves with some zesty honey mustard
M3: Dannon L&F Greek blueberry yogurt, 1 HB egg
M4: 4oz Fairlife skim milk, 1 scoop Syntrax milk chocolate w/ lots of ice
M5: 3.4oz tuna w/ 1.5 tbsp light mayo with romaine lettuce
Totals: Cals: 871 Protein: 132 Carbs: 39 Fat: 20
Dont do all shakes, personally I think it helps to shake things up, eat different foods...we tend to get into a rut. And eat more fat in a few meals, we need that too.
