Hope you feel better soon, Daze!  It truly sucks that the thing that is supposed to make it better, is making you feel worse.

Good late morning/early afternoon (on the west coast, anyway).  I got busy at work and totally forgot to post.  Actually, I'm still finding it hard to concentrate so I'm working in small bursts and taking mini breaks.  This is one of my many mini breaks.

Things continue to go ok on the recovery front.  I'm so happy that (1) my dr. advanced me to fish and (2) it seems to be sitting well.  I function much better when I get my protein from food rather than shakes.  I was very sad to read how many of us on this thread are struggling lately, yet happy to see the support we're all offering.  I've said it before, I would not be where I am if it wasn't for all your support.  I feel truly blessed to have my menu peeps in my life.

KQOTD - The last thing I "won" was a $25 gift card that our court reporters raffled off at a lunch they hosted at our firm.  That gift card was immediately loaded onto my Starbucks card.  The last "free thing" I got was my coffee today since I put that $25 to good use and have more than 1 "reward" at the Bucks.  I refuse to use a reward on a small drink so I got a venti and will be working on it ALL DAY.  Don't care though, it's fluid and protein all wrapped up in a coffee flavored package.  What could be better?!

My plan:

B: Shake with 1 tsp of cocoa (no sugar) and a tsp of PB2

L: 2.8 oz tuna with a bit of mayo for moisture and a laughing cow cheese wedge

D: Baked cod

S: cottage cheese with a spoonful of sugar free strawberry jam, light and fit, Venti skinny decaf vanilla latte

Totals: Cal: 776; Protein: 105g; Fat: 16g; Carbs: 51g (a bit high, but the latte was a must)

 to you all!

Yay!  Glad things are progressing nicely on the eating front.  Once I got off of my 2 week liquid post op diet (4 weeks total, two weeks pre-op), I have not touched a protein drink.  The thought of drinking one gags me.  You are doing so well!

Happy Afternoon everyone!

I'm another one that's so tired... but I have good reason. The boxer we are fostering, Gypsy, is a 2 year old spoiled brat  She can't seem to go all night sleeping without waking one - or both - of us up to go outside and potty. She should be old enough to hold it all night, but she just won't. Last night she was up at 2:30, and while hubby took care of her then, I did wake up. Then she was up again at 5am. That was just 15 minutes before my alarm went off... I had no choice but to actually get up then. I'm a snoozer... I like to snooze twice. I have it down to a science. So technically I missed 30 minutes or so of sleep. Did I mention she's rotten? LOL But boy is she a sweetie... so if you know anyone that's looking to adopt a young, sweet, beautiful boxer girl, send them my way (and don't mention her sleeping habits hahaha)

QOTD: I am a Realtor in addition to working full time in an office. We had our monthly business luncheon at the RE office, and our Broker always gives away a gift card (incentive to get lazy Realtors to show up LOL)... I won a $50 Visa card! It's still in my purse, waiting for a good deal I can't pass up.

We're going to Dallas this weekend... maybe I'll find something I don't need to spend it on (another pair of shoes?! LOL)

9.5 weeks since surgery 212.6 this morning

B: Premier Protein Shake

L: Leftover hummus and falafel from yesterday

D: No clue... last night I ended up just having another shake. Food is hard for me, it seems I can't eat enough to make a difference, and sometimes I'm just like, it's not worth the effort to cook when I can barely eat.

She may have a UTI, that's definitely a possibility. Maybe I'll ask the rescue if we can have her checked out... I think she's past her anxiety, we've had her for almost a month now, she's definitely feeling at home.

I think part of the problem is we can't allow her on the bed. She's very close to me, and when I'm awake, she is glued to my side. She craves love so badly! Kind of sad, really... but we have a deaf boxer that sleeps on our bed (perpetual anxiety, needs to be close to the hubs), and my tiny yorkie sleeps next to me, there' just no room! But we have 3 memory foam dog beds on the floor - our 3rd dog sleeps in one of those at night (she's getting too old for the bed), so there are 2 for her to choose from! LOL I think she gets lonely and uses 'potty' as an excuse to wake us up!

But I think I'll run the possibility of a UTI by the rescue... worth a shot for sure! Thanks!
