Another stall so soon? Whine Whine Whine?
I am very happy with my weight loss so far, and do feel; better, but that was with a 2 week stall starting at 3 weeks.
I am now 8 weeks out and no weight loss in the last week again
I have been very strict to maintain 800 cals a day and 100 grams of protein.
I also have been working out 60 min a day.
Is this typical, and when stall is over, it will catch up.
I thought other than a few stalls over the first year, I would see a regular weight loss weekly. (But that may all be in my boggled mind, and not reality).

Hey RJC5197,
When you say you are working out 60 min a day, are you saying like with weights working out? If you are, your body needs more calories for fuel to make up for what you are burning with the weights. It might sound a little odd to need more calories, but when it comes to working your muscles, they need that fuel.
For some, they find that too low calorie is the problem. Something to consider.
Also, don't forget that even though the scale may not move, your now morphing body shape may be getting smaller in certain areas.
Keep up the good work.
Cheers,
Skotti

No no no no no.
WHEN YOU ARE OBESE, YOU NEVER NEED EXTRA CALORIES TO FUEL ANYTHING!!!
We carried around a million extra calories as fat. We did NOT need to eat any more. On top of which, weightlifting burns almost no additional calories. It is a very brief duration exercise.
Stalls are normal. Most people lose weight in a stair step fashion. They lose for 2 or 3 weeks, stall for 1 or 2, then lose for a couple more weeks. Repeat.
Keep your calories as low as possible. Never, ever eat back exercise calories until you've passed your goal weight.

Most people do not lose consistently week to week. In the short term, your weight loss is more likely to be a stair step. You lose, stay the same, lost, stay the same, etc. It is only over the long haul (a year or two) that your weight loss graph looks like a waterfall. How you are losing is totally normal. If this is making you crazy, it would be best to stay off the scale and only weigh at set times each week or month. Keep on plan and you will lose weight! It would be impossible not to.

I wouldn't eat more calories either, your body can turn to its fat stores for energy. Maybe you should alternate the exercise like concentrate on cardio 1 day & weights the next. Maybe a change in routine can help.
Exercise is good for the body & stalls happen, sometimes you just gotta wait it out, besides you might be losing in size, not everything will show up on the scale so don't let it get you down.
