Daze, I am SOOOOOO sorry that your infusion isn't going as it's supposed to :-(

When are you going to come to Philly?! It isn't that much further than Boston :-P

Oh man, those infusions have been rough on you.  Let's hope that you feel better after this one, at least.  Cynthia is making all think about plastics.  My boobs are okay (just okay), but my arms are terrible, as is my tummy.  My arms bother me the most, though.

I wish I had the money for plastics but with hubby retired it's not likely to ever happen. I would have tummy done first then arms.

I tell the surgeon he has to advertise the arms more...that is the #1 thing people say. "If I could only do one thing I would do my arms"...

Morning!! Wow on the third surgery-- but the timing works in your favor in terms of having help. Hell, I'd have cme stayed with ya if it meant we could use the pool :-) I've yet to get my toes wet in a pool this summer :-( Special thoughts that he can remove the varicose vein. My veins are a lot more noticeable- and some I'm seeing on my leg is making me longer is they willing morph into varicose vein status.

I woke up determined this morning-- no more pity party. I have to go into work late this week, so I decided to get an extra run in. During my  run i had my light bulb "shake things up" answer. I'm dropping breakfast for the time being. My hunger still hasn't returned, and I'm going to use the time I would have been prepping/eating breakfast to take in more water. Breakfast is usually l slider protein, mostly (eggs, yogurt, oatmeal), and I can live without it. May as well take advantage of he lack of hunger while I can.

QOTD: not drinking calories is the main strategy that I've held onto. Its MAJOR for me and I probably drank far more calories/carbs than I ate (Not alcohol either-- just juice, soda etc). If I fall off that wagon; NO good can follow.

M1: Orange, 2oz lunch meat and 1 oz cheddar cheese

M2: Tuna packet w/mayo, boiled egg w/ sliced tomato

M3: Chicken stir-fry

M4: will pay it by ear if its necessary.

Good morning Menu Buddies!  Sorry I'm late.  Was busy morning getting a friend of my son's to come sit with him while I went to work.  Son is doing AWESOME! Surgery went great.  No complications at all.  He is a trooper.  Making me a little nuts with his adorable neediness. "Mom, get me water" "Mom, I wanted ice water." "Mom, why did you open the spout before you handed me the ice water.  I want it to be closed."  I love him to pieces but sometimes he makes me wanna kick a kitten. LOL

Here is a pic of my little guy going in for his surgery.  Thank you all for cheering for him.

On the low iron front, I got my results back from my latest round of blood tests and I do indeed need an iron infusion.  The doctor's office is working on getting it scheduled and insurance approval and all.  Should be this week.  Hoping that will give me more energy. I need it!

QOTD: The only thing I try to do on the regular is if I feel hungry and it isn't really time to eat, I drink water.  Honestly I am usually thirsty and didn't realize it.

Menu:

Totally a mess today.  In the shuttling back and forth and coming into work late I managed to leave my breakfast/lunch bag at home. So....coffee and vitamins until this afternoon when I get home. Then left over grilled pork chop. On the bright side, even though I have been super stressed with my son's surgery I managed to drop a few pounds. Down to 147!  Lowest yet.
